Title: zazzle most painful contributor interface ever
Post by: munrotoo on February 06, 2014, 12:39
I started a store on Zazzle for the holidays but wow it is just so painful from a contributor standpoint. One product at a time. I have tried to update the store catagory on some products for 4 days straight. They never get updated. They never appear in my store under the proper catagory. So do they actually want to discourage contributors?

You need to use the Quick Create function to create faster products. Do a search on YouTube for some tutorials.

My products always show up in the category that I put them in during product creation. Also no problem when moving then from one category to another.

Yeah, zazzle is tedious.  I'm not a super large fan of their platform, although it does work, it could be a lot more user friendly.  I'll go on a zazzle kick, make a bunch of crap (that people actually buy, amazingly) and then lost interest in doing any more new products for another 6 months.

It's work.  We all know work sucks.  Could it be easier?  Definitely.  But they aren't drinking from the same stock photo water supply that the rest of the agencies are.  Pulling metadata from our images automatically, that would speed up the process by a ton.

I only get the odd sale but look on it as a break from the usual stock stuff and you never know might generate a little income
