Zazzle store in another language

(1/1)

madelaide:
I was invited by Zazzle Brasil to open a store in Portuguese.  It makes sense for the local market since the translations are very poor.  However, I wonder if it's a good strategy.

Today I have products in four languages (the greeting cards) in my store.  Even for those products in which the language doesn't make any difference, but are related to a country (for instance, images with acountry flag), I add keywords in that specific language.

What do you think? Would you start a local store?

plrang:
I wouldn't because Zazzle translates my english keywords to german and other, also i wouldn have no time for this. I work through [zazzle.com] - not any local .de or .uk to have more stuff for design.

madelaide:
But have you seen the translations?  They're awful!  Not only description becomes nonsense, but keywords are often translated wrong when a word has more than one meaning, each as a different word in the other language.

plrang:
Of course i saw it, have the same problems on Fotolia or 123RF but it's impossible for me to maintain all of this.
Most important keywords are translated and i have to deal with it.
My first sale on Zazzle was from Germany ;) I saw in email this ugly translation.
If You have time and You really need those descriptions to be correct - You have to set local store. I see no other solution.

Suljo:
And Zazle is what??
Site where ELs are downgraded to sub prices???
