Adobe Stock / Re: Fotolia sales - good or bad for you?

Horrible sales and rarely does anything get accepted there anymore.

I don't know what the international copyright laws are or Belgian laws are, but in the U.S. there was a case of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame vs. Gentile.  As the case ruling was explained to me, any picture taken of a building from a public place is fair use as long as trademarks such as logos are not visible.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Refferal-links

When I sign up for new sites, I click on referral links.  I figure, why not spread the love and help someone else.  I pick a different person for each site I sign up for.  Plus, I figure it could help me out in some way in the future, maybe by having someone else with a vested interest in my success.  It's good to network with other photographers.

Shutterstock.com / Re: No, "Thank You"
« on: May 07, 2008, 15:11 »
My guess is that they do it to thank SS for providing the venue that gives them the opportunity to make money on their photos.  Maybe they had a good month and are thanking SS for bringing in so many customers.  Just my guess.  It's not something I do.

General Stock Discussion / Re: 123RF rejections

123 rejections are rare. Have you submitted the same images to other sites ?
Maybe 123RF is getting more stringent, the way that Fotolia has.  Some of my shots that are getting accepted at SS are getting rejected by Fotolia and 123RF, which seemed odd at first because I always thought SS was supposed to be tougher to get accepted at.  Fotolia used to accept anything and everything.

Another weird thing about Snapvillage for me is that whenever I want to login, I have to turn off my firewall.

123RF / Re: How are sales today at 123?
« on: April 16, 2008, 11:49 »
I've been there for over a month now and have 46 images, but no sales so far.  Probably more indicative of me than of 123RF, though.
