A couple of final points; Holgs is correct, my bad, it's a 590. My default iso is 80 and noise is still a huge problem so I take two things from this discussion:
1) A DSLR ASAP.
2) I need to invest some time training my eyes to see these issues which my assumption means looking at lots and lots of pictures on this board and others like it.

OK, finding a place to dump a full size file has turned out to be trickier than I would have imagined. Thank you for your patience. I've found possibly a couple of options below. I'm enjoying the conversation, thank you for taking the time! It is a point and shoot, Canon Sureshot A650, my film slr just died recently although I have uploaded some film shots. I realize there are limitations with the lens, but if there are workarounds, things to avoid, or if it's actually something I'm doing in processing that would be very helpful to know. This entire series was denied by DT due to "Poor optical performance due to low lens quality, such as lens fringing, chromatic aberrations, uneven sharpness in focus area." I now know DT does NOT allow discussion of denials on their boards. :- ) Anyway, I'd greatly appreciate if someone could help me see it. Another image taken with the same lens was approved. Of course that's neither here nor there. I'm not objecting, I'm really new and just learning, but I can't very well correct or prevent something I'm not seeing. I know! It would have been a boon actually if I'd known I could just stop there. Now if they'd just get to it when I'm thinking about taking an unacceptable picture!

I'm really new, this was only my second upload at FT. Two of my files were denied before I even completed the submission! Is this the norm? Some of the other files have since been denied and others are still waiting. I'd ask about it in their forum but for whatever reason that's not loading for me. Any thoughts? Ramona

Couple more things...
I should probably add the caveat, what a great way to improve my "stock" photography.
I'm not exclusive with StockXpert, I'm uploading to a number of agencies, but I just started this month. I do understand their needs are rather fluid.
I'm finding it rather addictive.

EXCELLENT feedback! Great crit all, thanks for taking the time.
My assumption was agriculture companies would be looking for stock like this, thanks for affirming that.
They were all taken on a very bright day so need to keep an eye out for blowing out the sky. I don't have access to my images right now but I thought I had removed the logo, albeit roughly as another reviewer pointed out, wouldn't think engine number would be an issue. This is a parked engine on display so I can certainly reshoot.
I will absolutely take a closer look at the noise issue.
What a great way to improve my photography! Thanks again!
