i have recently started uploading videos and have opted out of video data licensing on my profile. however my recently reviewed items are still being licensed for data. their contact form is not working either and i have reported this issue as well but nothing have changed. (their responses don't load when you click the link in the email and it goes to the help page and i have tried on pc and mac as well as different browsers)
how do people deal with that platform??? this all seems by design

I decided to use the symbio site as only a showcase for now but cannot seem to make the pricing table to disappear. even though It is set to Not_live in the author options the table is still there and whenever i try to change and update the image settings the page reloads to just a title Author Default Settings and Pricing and no content.this is some bug it seems i have also tried setting the image formats to not available and get the same blank. Have hit a wall any help appreciated! freeflowart.org

I just launched my vector site FreeFlowArt.org and looking to network with other vector and illustration sites. My stuff is mostly symbolic, vintage and grunge design elements, decorative with some mystical and fantasy influence. Animals and nature as well. There will be more people and wellness stuff in the future. So hopefully we can compliment each others ports! Big Thank You to Leo and all who made Symbiostock happen! I was wishing for this kind of a platform years before it developed. I think Symbio is the way of the future-sustainable and humanitarian. Excited!

feeling less than happy i went independent (also illustrator) and to be honest i felt robbed getting 25 cents a pop for my vectors at SS .people just go on binges and buy like 20 files at a time-it doesn't feel fair-i know some will argue that its about the totals-to each their own-i feel we should value our work..maybe people who sell photos don't feel that way because it's more of a production, but my vectors are really works of art...so i guess we are the ones to decide the value... plus being independent felt more like a *job* and it wasn't rewarding weird SS observation that discouraged me-my earnings were actually at their highest with the first batch uploaded (about 100 files)-then they dropped to a poor average no matter how many more hundreds of files i uploaded my answer is to reduce my dependance on the monetary-i love nature-so consume less-enjoy the freedom to create thats my perspective

i've dropped my crown a month ago for vectors, and i know it's for the better! it looks to me that i am getting slightly better sales now since my vectors are cheaper, but i am looking forward to seeing my images actually move as sales at istock were starting to feel like water torture it seems that istock doesn't care to lose exclusives, as it is in line with their greedy ways to to push for more profit, this way they are taking a bigger piece of the pie..but i think the market will shift to sites with better reputation and prices i have no attachment to IS anymore-and i actually feel inspired again to create now that my creations won't be swallowed by a hungry fierce beast; it will still be a beast of microstock, but this way it's more like a zoo where i can choose which beast to feed, whilst exclusivity was feeling like you are locked with the biggest monster in their cage

sure, the is more saturation, but my port has increased substantially also..I also have a pretty unique style i think which is why i still get sales while there is tons of cheap vectors at SS ect..anyhow my feeling is that the price increase is more to blame.perhaps getty buyers are still here, but I think most buyers are not on that level. indeed, the competition inspires towards better quality and originality

I don't see further price increase as a good thing, as an exclusive. Ever since the prices have been increasing (for vectors -which i have most of- almost times 3 since 08) I have witnessed a steady decline in sales, although the $ stayed leveled. Has anyone else observed this? On the other hand- it would be curious to know if the independents have seen an increase in sales since the price hike for exclusive files this year.. With all the server problems Istock is going through now I would think the implementation E+ collection would be somewhat postponed

Those pulling their art from other sites are still in a good position: they are closer to exclusivity, which I think is a very wise decision. For me, it seems like a dirty trick of IS. Pushing people to commit to them as exclusive, pulling their ports everywhere so they can be grandfathered, then just say, well, we didn't mean it really. What's next? Bumping you behind in the best match because you don't allow thinkstock sales?
To me it also seems like that, or moreover IS saw less exclusive commitment then expected with the canister level change announcement, so they are extending the time to pull in more contributors. I am starting to reconsider my exclusivity, as with over 1000 files online my sales are tumbling.. mostly vector and raster illustrations..with my high production capability, i am wondering if istock is the place for me, with new files laying stale...Its definitely a big risk but worth considering
