Out for 5 or 6 hours, they come back, but still couldn't manage to remove the Valentine's pic from the landing page.

Thanks for pointing this out Sue. Imagine if they had started the PP payout and the script for the Getty refunds were running at the same time!

It did change. GI 360 is being reported under PP sales.

They're going to implement all of these changes and the site will be even slower and buggers than it is presently.

I'm certain I'm wrong, but I'd like to think of the 'period' on the iS logo as a sign of good faith to those who are in the Partners Program. As in, the Partners Program payouts should be like a regular menstrual cycle. Like, "I get my Partners Program payout on the 15th of every month, PERIOD."

iStockPhoto.com / Re: PP Sales Anxiety« on: July 18, 2013, 02:55 »
There are big contributors who are employed by IStock that are also in the PP. I am sure that they are able to communicate with their employer if the PP payouts were drastically under reported. I don't see any of them commenting in the forums. Could it be that they already know that very low PP payouts is the new norm? Perhaps in tinkering around the Getty collections as Getty has been doing, they tweaked the search in Photos and in TS so that their wholly owned content is what comes up in the searches. If we are indeed halfway through May in PP payouts, this would be the only way I can justify it. I hope I'm wrong.

Imagine not being able to effect any change, and not being able to talk about it yet you still get paid. Someone's job got a whole lot easier, if also a whole lot more temporary.

I'm exclusive and vector. I removed my photos in February. Most of my port is Signature = 15 credit, but pricing is differs wildly from sale to sale.
June 15 thru 30 = 12 sales July 1 thru 7 = 18 sales 12

If the PP is delayed AND the Request for Payment is disabled, that leaves a huge wad of cash for IS to manipulate. I wonder what they are actually up to.

For me and my relatively small vector port, I consider files that have earned over $500 and still get sales, my better sellers. I do have a few the have more sales, but the image is simple, so worth less money per download.

I don't understand why they would do this without getting the Best Match under control...

there is a thread in the IS forums: UPLOADING ISSUES
http://www.istockphoto.com/forum_messages.php?threadid=353011&page=1 It seems that you are not the only one having trouble uploading. IS drives me nuts, 'please upload',we've made inspections really fast! And look, we've changed your upload limit to 999 file a week'! Sure it sounds really tempting, but how long are they going to let the Best Match sink new files to the bottom of the search? When I think that I might take a chance and upload some art, then I see that the upload process is broke. I think fate has interveined for me. I work too long on my stuff to not give it a fighting chance. 19

Sometimes that can be misleading, as I joined in 2005 as a buyer. I uploaded a few files in late 2007 to see what it was like. It wasn't until 2008 that I gave it any effort. And presently I am on a break from uploading since mid 2011. IS=frustration. 21
General - Top Sites / Re: 12 emails - Refund for a Purchase of Your File« on: February 28, 2013, 09:09 »
I wonder if some of this refunding happens due to the client finding out the same images are available at TS and Photos(dot)com and although it is through subscription, it is still a much reduced price.
Soon, there will no longer be refunding of IS purchases to clients through IS contributor's purses. Everyone will just use IS images for free from Google Drive. Think of all the money IS will save in bookkeeping. ![]() 22
