I agree, but here is the full story:
The site owner does not remove the infringing content from the server. Therefore, I contacted GoDaddy. Their reply:
"The content in question has been removed by the owner of the website. As such, we have closed this claim."
Since the site owner did NOT remove the infringing material, I contacted GoDaddy a second time. Their reply:
"While reviewing your complaint we were unable to locate the offending content in question. The URL is either no longer active, or the content appears to have already been removed."
I do not understand why they are not able to locate the content; I provided the image URL. The image file is still hosted on the server (yes, I cleared the cache of the browser).
I contacted GoDaddy a third time and received this reply:
"Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for contacting the Copyright Claims Department. We are not the hosting provider for this site. We have neither access to, nor jurisdiction over the content on this site.
The web hosting provider for this website is the company responsible for policing this content and is required to respond to Copyright complaints as outlined by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
A domain name whois search does NOT provide information on the hosting provider of a website.
You can identify the hosting provider by performing a network whois search at domainwhitepages.com.
Kindest Regards,"
So, who is the ISP???
Have you filed a DMCA?
