I have seen many amazing 3D vector illustrations on sale recently that look like they have been created with the new 3D and material effects in Adobe Illustrator.
Actually it seems its not possible to generate vector paths using that effect but only raster objects, therefore they would not be accepted by microstock agencies as vectors.
Do you have any idea of how these vector images are actually made?

I wonder how it would work with vectors.  When uploading vectors the automated preview image shows distorted colors (to avoid this I have to make a JPG too and zip it together with the EPS and upload it that way), so I worry that the automated PNG might have distorted colors too, no? Hm. Time to test it.
I upload the eps file (with no background) zipped with the jpg preview. When the image is approved it shows ai/eps, jpg and png on sale and colors are fine. I don't know if it is the right procedure but seems to work for me.

When I save an EPS file with transparent background and the design requires some empty space around to frame the object (an icon for example) what is the best option?
- Adding a transparent background that has same size of the artboard and larger than the object, on another layer
or
- Saving the EPS file selecting the Use Artboards option
That file will still have a flat jpg preview file paired to preserve colors when displayed online.

Illustrator does not embed the color profile when exporting a PNG file, when I check the file metadata in Bridge it says Color Mode RGB, Color Profile Untagged.
Can I upload the untagged PNG saved in Illustrator or should I export again that same file from Photoshop and embed the sRgb color profile there? Does it make any difference?

Is it allowed to use adobe illustrator default brushes in vector stock illustrations as long as they are expanded? Do any of you know where the license of these brushes can be checked?

Even I had most of my content rejected (vectors) for "irrelevant keywords" since last week. In more than ten years it's the first time I have this "keywords" issue, sounds more like a random reason to reject my content.

I found my best selling files on sale in another user account on Adobe Stock, I contacted Adobe but they wont take the files down unless Im submitting a DMCA compliance online form. That means I myself have to take the responsibility of making the report with all that implies, but isnt the website responsible for checking that our work is not stolen by other users at least on the website itself?

I sell vector stock illustrations and I have been doing it as full time job for years now.
I think now there is much more competition than few years ago as the numbers of contributors keeps growing, but you can surely give it a try. I am learning about animation now as I think in the future it will be more requested.
I think to get a good result you need to focus on it full time for some months at least, you cant expect to have immediate results.

Is anyone here selling vector animations and/or editable AE projects? What is your experience on that? Any website to recommend beside the most known ones? I started a couple of years ago selling animations but I am wondering if selling AE projects could be a better idea, where can I find some good tutorials? Thanks!

I had that problem some time ago, I could not view the recaptcha code so I could not access shutterstock.
I tried connecting with a VPN as some users here in the forum suggested me and it worked immediately, so I think it is not necessarily a malware or virus if it doesnt work.

I have just found many of my vector illustrations on this website: http://freedesignfile.com/It allows a free download of the eps file with a creative common license. I have not tried to download them actually but the image has no watermark so it can be stolen anyway. Anybody else has some files there?

Kamran you were right, thank you so much!! 1. I tried flushing dns both on win and mac, it did not work 2. I tried with a VPN, it worked immediately. Today I succeeded logging in on Shutterstock without the VPN and it worked anyway, but the ReCaptcha test https://patrickhlauke.github.io/recaptcha/ worked only after connecting with the VPN. Anyway it seems the VPN could solve the issue at the moment. I guess then the problem is the ISP.

I tried connecting with another connection and it worked, therefore there is something wrong with my connection. I will try following Kamrans suggestions and see what happens.

I called the ISP they say everything is fine with the connection. I will try later connecting with another connection as lemonyellow suggested, at least I will know if the problem is related to that.
I live in Italy (thats why my english is bad, sorry), I have some friends here who are contributors and it seems the website is working for them, but they actually did not log out and then log in again. As far as I know there are no sanctions against my country anyway.
I would try audio code but there is really nothing there, just an empty space where there should be the recaptcha. Im attaching a screenshot.
Thank you all for your help, I really have no clue of how to solve this.
