My balance has gone back done, so I am guessing they are now processing payments to contributors

This morning when I checked my balance I thought I had a big sale, but alas it was just the fact that  I was not getting paid this month like the rest of you.  I'm more disappointed that I hadn't had  that big sale.

Once again yester I had a sale that incurred 40% Distributor Commission this is despite opting out back in April.  I have no doubt I will be told that the image was downloaded before I opted out and if this is the case reporting sales months after they happen isn't good enough.

Update to asking for clarification

QuoteThanks for reaching back.

Unfortunately, we do not have an estimation of when this feature might be implemented and we can not even guarantee it will happen, it is just something that is under consideration due to the substantial amount of feedback from contributors regarding their complaints against it not being possible.

We highly appreciate your understanding in this matter.

I got a reply from shutter stock regarding being able to delete images in the data catalogue and being exclusive elsewhere.

QuoteAfter checking your question with our teams, they confirmed that as far as you have the data licensing opted out your assets won't be licensed and that won't affect your exclusivity with other image stock companies.

On the other hand, we are working on providing contributors tools that allow you to remove specific assets from Data Catalog and we continuously working to improve your experience while offering as many opportunities to earn on your assets as possible.

I will not be uploading any more images until they provide the means to delete images from the data licensing catalogue.

Alamy.com / Distribution commission rant

I opted out of distribution because when the distributions were receiving more than the actual photographer it just didn't sit right with me.  Yet the other day I once again a sale came through, so I queried it and seems it went through before i opted out but has only just been reported. Hopefully it is the last I will see.

I would rather not make a sale than have someone earn more than the photographer for doing nothing other than having the image on their site.   Rant overrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Looks like you can't opt out anymore right now or again until next April?

Correct

incorrect I have just opted out of all.  If you click the blue arrow key at the right of the country / area name you can untick any you previously opted in to (just remember to click update before leaving the page.)

I notice I have a data deals button meaning I can opt out, when I click on the ? mark next to it and then lick on the text Learn more about them here, it takes me to Shutterstock web page "Shutterstock Datasets and AI-generated Content: Contributor FAQ"

https://support.submit.shutterstock.com/s/article/Shutterstock-ai-and-Computer-Vision-Contributor-FAQ?language=en_US

So would disabling data deal also opt me out of AI?

in order to post an image just code it in html like you would if you were inserting an image into your own web page.

so an open bracket img close bracket goes before the url

(sorry cant post exactly how it looks as it will think i'm inserting an image an show an error, but its the same as what goes at the end after the .jpg but without the /)

then at the end of the url you need .jpg [/img]

Hope this makes sense and helps

Apparently disabling Java Script then allows posting.

What does that mean in English?

in your browser click on settings and under privacy and security you will find java script just add the forum address to the blocked sites for java
