Maybe someone from EU country can explain how work VAT if I create illustrations and sale on lot of marketplaces.

How do I charge VAT on Shutterstock and does it charge buyers? Or does VAT not apply to Shutterstok, Adobe stock since it is located in the USA? But on the map we see that there are also sales in Europe or does it not matter and the main thing is where the company�s office itself is located and if it is in the USA then VAT is not charged? How do you do it, how does it work?

It would be great if someone from Romania shared their experience, but I think that the entire European Union has the same rules in this regard
