New on this site.. Mom takes pictures... amateur. I am on model mayhem #2972349
Noticed an old thread that stated the girl next door is good for stock shots.. Well that's me..
Noticed an old thread from 2008 and thought I'd try to answer.. but this site wants me to start a new thread.
As for paying models. Yeah we like to be paid.. period.. so does photographers. food and cars and housing is nice.. I do TFPs but not much.. Don't really see the need to do the crotch shot. Going to try to do a nice high end glam-our with some skin but not much.. working up to it.. Picking the right photographer is most important.
Ok it's a total ad right now.. lol.. but I am in LA and am trying to get some work so I can buy a car...
I would love to get some basic magazine or catalog work.. anyone out there in LA area that does this..
Hey cdwheatley..if you weren't in Australia..i'd love to shoot with you...but not everything works out..

I've used three models found on ModelMayhem here in Australia, but rejected many more for stock work.
Here's an important tip (for stock photography): pay particular attention to those models who say they will NOT do nude under any circumstances.
I agree, the girl next door type has a much broader appeal for stock work. I'm having a hard time finding the right type at this point.
