you're doing it wrong, you just need one really good image that sells for $4000 instead of 4000 images that sell for $.98

Agree. But how I would know which one is the best without trying lots of images.

No updates on this. I have around 700 files waiting and half of them are waiting more than a month. Never happed this before to me. What's wrong with Adobe ?

I understand that it's not nice to have finished content waiting, but since you've already had 4200 content approved in a year I think you can now wait a month or so,I don't think it's anything serious.

You've only been a contributor on Adobe Stock for a year and you already have more than 4,000 content for sale, isn't that enough?  :)

I only make $5-7 a week :), do you think that's enough?

Even these are hard to get it. I own 2 photography forums which are on Google adsense. In 4 years I've earned 33. Still haven't cashed out.

YouTube it's hard to get it. I do YouTube as well, but isn't easy. In 1 year I got 144 subs. So even that isn't easy at all. Unless you have something unique to deliver to people

I sell images on both Etsy and AS. No problems at all.

May I ask how you sell images on Etsy ? Never had success on it.

106
I might delete my account with them, uploading and submitting images with them are really time consuming.

last week I had the best week of the last 11 weeks,I'm not saying it was an exceptional week but OK,in DL numbers,Instead regarding earnings the week at the end of May was better.

you have 4200 contents, for how long? How long have you been a contributor on Adobe?you have AI only or even real content?

95% real photos. Been a contributor for 1 year now. Seems now I have passed 2 weeks into he queue for real images. Where these are approved in couple of days on shutterstock. Becoming really frustrating with Adobe.

Since you have only been a contributor for a year it is normal that you may have some off weeks.

Of course it also depends of what you have, but imo you are doing well, because you have uploaded more than 4000 contents during the first year, you will see that you will have many more sales in the next years because you have started well, the contents are still not ripe enough after one year, and your choice of more real content is better in my opinion.

being an AI producer means having at least 7-800 content approved per month,it's not easy and involves the fact that there is no time for anything else.

I see AI content more as an addiction to my port, but my real work is with real things.

Don't think about review times, keep producing,a couple of weeks or a month what difference does it make, while they approve, hundreds more have already been uploaded!  :D

I only have around 300 ai Images uploaded on my port, as a test. But at the moment I have 560 real photos in the queue. Half of them are nearly 3 weeks waiting to be approved.

I do have some video as well. But not have too much time to produce more.

Sales seems to be low as well for some reason.

Last week I had only $1 income, the lowest on couple of weeks, with around 4200 assets. I even noticed the review time takes way too long. They usually get it quicker
I have now 500 images in the queue. On other agencies these already have been approved.

Is it worth upload to them. ?

Alright, seems isn't big thing anymore. I was thinking myself to record some 360 videos and put it online. But wasn't sure whenever it is worth it or no, as it requires more editing than traditional video.

Yes. There are still applications for 360 video - but at the moment - specifically for selling 'stock footage', it doesn't seem to be in that much of demand.
If you decide to do real estate footage (i.e., filming houses for real estate agents) - you may find that to be a lot more lucrative. While I have not personally done that - I have heard of people getting paid between $100-$500 "per house" for doing that (as well as drone footage). But it is not necessarily 'as easy' as it sounds - because you have to (a) find a real estate agent who doesn't already have a photographer, (b) find one that won't try to nickle/dime you/figure if they have a camera, that makes 'them' a photographer, etc etc.

I do agree. I have tried already to offer drone services, but seems most estate agencies either have someone in the office who does that, or they have already a photographer.

The new tech just makes easier and easier for everyone to do the job. Soon we all will be replaced.

Lol, no - "we" won't be "replaced".

a) The "ai" is theft. Based of of existing works.
b) Sure there is new tech - but then there are new opportunities. You just need to get a bit creative in how you do things. After all - lol - the real estate agencies that 'do' have photographers  - somehow 'those' photographers got those sweet gigs, right? :)

I do agree about Ai, for someone is an opporuntity to legally steal, and for some is a loosing money.

Hard to get into property photography.

I have - and while there seemed to be a brief interest (aka sales) from agencies, primilarly Pond5, haven't really seen any sales since then...
I think 'maybe' I 'made' $500-$600 in sales from 360 footage, but probably spent about the same in various gear + time invested/etc... Maybe I made more, don't recall. Just wasn't quite what I was expecting (I thought there would be huge demand + sales for the content I produced).

May I ask what kind of 360 footages you have uploaded?

Sure - I did a variety, everything from walk throughs, to non moving (i.e., just putting the camera in a crowd, & letting it video tape)... I think in 2018/2019 there was a surge in interest (some of the agencies were promoting it a bit, even was a little big on 'youtube', etc), and then all of the sudden, didn't seem to be too much interest in it...

The 360 is/was kind of interesting though. I liked it - I found it seemed there was more interest in professional settings (i.e., some real estate meetings I went to - people would be recording people talking at a board room meeting/table/etc). It was more for 'reference' for later usage, and I think transcription/etc...

Thank You, I am also using Go Pro,  I mean only 360 cameras.

I have never tried.

I only seen that pon5 accepts 360 videos. The 360 videos also have different format too.

GoPro camera has own purpose too, sold couple of videos.

No point getting Insta360 if you not planning to shoot 360 videos, especially that you already have gopro.

Better get a drone in your camera bag.

118
I do have insta 360 x 3 and gopro 12

Yes, I do use sometimes my gopro for stock. But my insta 360 it's for vlogs travel.

You need strong pc to edit Insta360 footages.

Hi. O have around $76 on my account, and I want to cash it out. But can't find it. Any ideas how I can request the money?

121
An other wirestock agency ?

Some of their products are good as a tool.
Personally I upgraded to Macbook pro to edit videos for YouTube as my old Windows laptop wasn't powerful enough.

I use ipad for browsing around. But I won't touch any of their iPhone which are crap after a while and overpriced.

I use Huawei P40 Pro. Which I'm very happy, apart that doesn't have Google service.

Apple is a company just do a bit of features and are asking for triple price.

Congrats, but  I think you taking everything too close to your heart. Its just a business, there isnt any anniversaries or good side and bad side. Take as much money as possible, but be ready for everything to go bust, and is contributors being dumped. Im upset that I havent started earlier. But I dont take anything too close to heart. We are expense and we might  be replaced in the future, same applies to a lot of industries.

But if yours is already longer on the market, and sold quite a few times (due to lower competition at that time) then the newer one will generally end up lower in the rankings, get less views, and yours will have the advantage. Right? (Of course, all depending on competition and saturation, as the algorithm mixes new content with established content. Niche markets are easier to break into than highly saturated area's of the market)

But now you are talking about something entirely different.  Yes, an older clip that has been successful and sold multiple times does have an advantage. But that has nothing to do with the overall size of the contributor's portfolio or how long the contributor has been a contributor.  That is the myth I was trying to dispel.  Please read my earlier post again, and I hope you can understand the difference.

But to address the point you are making, don't assume that the best-selling clip last year of a toddler eating spaghetti is going to continue to dominate year after year.  The algorithms are constantly trying to promote newer clips to keep the content fresh on the site.  In my own case, many of my clips that used to sell almost every day hardly ever sell at all anymore. Why is that?  Well, it is because other similar clips have probably pushed them off their pedestal. That's what competition does. And it has nothing to do with the size of the contributor's portfolio.  My point is that it is never to late to get your feet wet.  If you sit on the sidelines and say "it's too late", then you are guaranteed of 100% failure.

I must have been misunderstood or not have made myself fully clear. I'm with you regarding the size of a portfolio not influencing individual asset ranking. I don't believe that purely the number of assets you have influences the individual ranking of those assets. I mentioned the advantage an older asset can have because @Faustvasea also mentioned competing against well established assets, and up to a certain point he's right about that. And yes, new assets are mixed up in the search results of a customer, so if the new one matches the quality and content the customer is looking for, it will get sold and will keep on getting views to generate more sales. Until it is outcompeted again. Of course, competition is still increasing, and I have the feeling (no hard claim) that libraries are growing faster than customer demand which means it gets more difficult to break into certain niches. So I understand why some contributors start making weird assumptions about rankings.

I think we're on the same page, but nobody really knows how the algorithms work. The only agency I know of giving some transparency about their algorithm was Indivstock, and they are very small and irrelevant. Yet they have a rather complex algorithm in place with a lot of bonus or punishment factors for content ranking. Portfolio size was not of any influence, but popularity in general was. (data from 2022)

+ 3.00% Artist bonus in general as well as keywords and titles of images predominantly without "spam" keywording, also title.
+ 2.00% Artist bonus in general as well as portfolio mostly popular.
+ 2.00% Artist bonus in general as well as portfolio mostly "outstanding".

That's what I was trying to say, portfolio size and the time being on the platform really matters. I think is the same case with each platform , instagram, YouTube . I would personally do the same, I will promote the old contributors and let the new one struggle or provide something really unique.

At the moment I only contribute videos to AS and P5, but as I said, I am certain sure that the new contributors have less chance to make same amount of money as the old contributors.
