Stocks go up......and stocks go down. In 3 years we'll see if they are still writing about SS on Wall Street. I just see a lot of normal Wall Street hype about something new on the block .....nothing more.

102
I had it happen to me...I sent them a massive in process jpeg with 12 steps. I never had it happen again.....I think SS is pointless to upload onto now days. A total waste of time but that is just my opinion.

Yay!!! 123rf Rocks....I think 123rf is better then SS!.....great site with month to month growth! I'm looking forward to submitting AC/MF !

Great Month

nope I have 4400 vectors on SS and I'm bridge on BS :)

Awesome portfolio in my opinion.

Thanks... I've always thought your work was awesome!

Strangely enough, my StockXpert (deceased) income has been more than double my income on Bigstock and Depositphotos the last two months . . . .

Your ThinkStock downloads for 25 cents are more than both those places put together? Too bad you don't have all those files on IS, it would be paying 28 cents.

And here I am thinking of how 28 cents beats 25 cents? It feels ridiculous.

I'll guess that you and most of us will be getting 25 cents at BS. What do subs at DP pay?

I get .31 at DP. So far today my DP is beating my SS and as for BigStock......whatever

Thanks, interesting. StockXpert beats DP and BS added together, and your DP beats SS. Let me guess, SS and BS didn't take most of your files that are selling on DP and StockXpert?  ;D

I feel FT is far far better then any of BS plans and RC rates.

I've been selling on DP for years. I've never seen a EL that low. In fact DP growth rate month to month far out paces SS for me. They are a good steady earner. As far as I know they don't have a RC rate and they have not cut referral earning. I think DP is awesome!

Have you bought shares in Dignitas recently? Your posts are all so pessimistic and depressing it seems like you are trying to drive us all to suicide....

My income from SS has been consistently increasing over the last 8 years. They've never lied to me, reduced my royalties or f**ked me about with dodgy currency exchange rate deals. Give the guy some credit for never having let contributors down and always having delivered on his promises.

That's even saltier than your usual - one person's realism might seem like pessimism to you, but I don't agree with you about the future of Shutterstock. I wouldn't argue at all about the past.

The dividing line for me was that memo about the royalties at Bigstock.

The minute Jon started down that road - albeit with a subsidiary - he shot a big hole in the goodwill bucket that up until then had been pretty close to full from my point of view.

I don't have a crystal ball any more than you do, but in terms of future behavior, I'm not seeing things continue in a positive vein at Shutterstock - at least not for contributors like me.

And the quote about the virtuous cycle was one I included in the e-mail to the Bigstock manager who announced the new RC scheme for Bigstock subs royalties as it seemed especially ironic in light of what they were planning to to.

Now, those words in the IPO filing and earnings call seem more like spin for public consumption than the reality for contributors behind the scenes.

I 100% agree!

"The minute Jon started down that road - albeit with a subsidiary - he shot a big hole in the goodwill bucket that up until then had been pretty close to full from my point of view."

Now the question is why did he do it........is he testing the RC system before moving it over to SS?

They have gone from thinking to scheming.

This will never happen.

113
only about 500 dls a year on BigStock (lowest earner).......but...I heard SS has big plans for BigStock...I can imagine easily making an extra 49501 DLs on BS this year!

I'm bridge so I have 6 months at .38 but the moment I go down to .26 or .27 I'm  :) happily leaving BigStock and opting out of the bridge program.

OMG This rocks!!! is it just photos?

Have they stated what the cost to the buyer is for their subs program?  They better not be undercutting SS or we will have to organize a riot.  Heck, we should organize one anyway!

Is BS even worth a riot? Leaving BS is so much easier :)

118
6 months lol. Well, ok whatever so I leave in 6 month whatever that's funny!  BS is so finished lol 6 months...... :)

The funny thing is... when IS gone down the road WE the contributors had a very viable alternative named SS which grew rapidly and steadily. If SS will fallow the IS path, what alternative we will have?.......... NONE. This is my big worry.

The only alternative I can see, other than getting out of stock entirely, would be to stop uploading to micros altogether and put any future shoots into RM.

Was a fun ride while it lasted.

Agreed I started working on a RM port Nov 2011. I see things swinging back to RM. Some companies just can't use MS for their projects. RM is on the rise.

120
Who cares about BS..... nobody really buys from them anyhow :) They are an easy place to leave at any time. I'm part of the bridge with 4000 vectors at BS. If I don't like the results in a month or so I'll leave with little lose of income. This new low rate was soooooooo..... very dumb from such a lower earner it's more funny then anything. Not a smooth move for BS. oh well :)

Just unlike their facebook show them what it is like to loss a little something...make them go under 100K likes again . We have more control then you think. Harmless but powerful.

Are you serious? Isn't that what 9-year olds do to express themselves?

lol :) you can't bring yourself to do it I understand your afraid :)

123RF / Re: How is your sales?
« on: February 01, 2013, 14:28 »
My sales are awesome on 123! My 123 Jan 2013 was a 40% better then Jan 2012. My sales are steady and gaining monthly on 123rf!

125

yep, lol...... I remember 60%...I decided that in Nov 2011 after years of steady sales on SS ...and then over night (no joke) my SS sells dropped 35% and never came back. It took a year to recover that income and beyond. I'm happy to say SS is much much less then 60% of my MS income now. I'm free of fear and I never ever want something like that to happen again. I work very hard to keep my income balanced and steady.  Even if it takes promoting smaller dogs to keep balance. I do not want the Sith or the Jedi to control the market. There needs to be balance in the universe.
