I feel you, I'm in the similar position, I mostly shoot travel and landscape images but I have a full time job in the same time, I would love to do microstock as full job, actually I was dreaming at some point in life to quit my full job and rely only on microstock and be free, but the current market doesn't give me much hope.

I have a mix portfolio with images and videos but this month I see a big downfall in video sales, volum of sales for images is ok for this month but RPD is lower than expected.
#103
I honestly prefer for people to say the microstock it's dead, at least that will not encourage new people to adventure on this field, more chances for the rest of us.

Same for me, SS sells like 3-4 times more than AS as numbers of assets, price per imagine its a different discussion, I'm close to level 5 on SS.

Time to rise up!

AS 245$ - 239 downloads
SS 460$ - 1097 downloads

One thing Getty is hot on is IP/copyright violation.  It'll be interesting to see how they handle the Shutterstock library which is absolutely full of violations.

They will have to clean that up. Also get rid of all the ai content that is creeping in without being declared ai.

I'll be glad if they will be doing that.

Does that mean they will continue operating their individual platforms to maintain their existing customer bases and revenue streams?

For me right now SS is 60% of revenue, 25% AS and 15% iStock.
#109
Actually they already disabled some of the profiles reported.

just for one day you can be a hero

eta

volume of sales is going down of course, less than half of last week and maybe just 20% by end of the week.

But it was fun

Congrats, impressive results, did you reached same level of income compared with last year?

Just in time for the reset  ;D

Can't complain, was a good year at SS.

Congratulations. Can you write your profile link? I'm curious about how you reached 25,000 downloads in a year.

Thats the beauty of my portofolio, I sell only travel photos, you can replicate them with AI for sure, but nothing will match the reality.

Hasn't been worth uploading to SS for ages now because new photos just aren't selling,

You can speak for yourself, the new photos are selling very good if you produce the right quality, my downloads doubled this year compared with last year on SS and the new material is selling very well for me.

Still have 120 files in pending for 4 months already, none AI files, what's with the up to 8 weeks, I just doubled that.

iStockPhoto.com / Re: November stats are up

A little bit worst than usual but in general November is one of my slowest months, usually with travel material is slowing down during this month. Can't complain, I'm talking in general about 10-20% less than a normal month.

Creating AI content often involves using elements derived from others' work, raising concerns about originality and ethics. Moreover, the market is already oversaturated with AI-generated images. For my style of photography, there will always be a demand for authentic, real-world photos, as AI predominantly generates fantasy or unrealistic visuals.

NO to AI from my side.

I have over 100 images in pending review for more than 3 months, way over the 8 weeks they advertised, no idea what is going on.

Made it into the inner 1k. Happy day :)

Congrats!!! I was wondering if you focus mostly on Adobe Stock, is Adobe your main source of income regarding microstock?

New dataset earnings today again, we had one last month as well.

I think SS changed the search algorithm for pictures/videos again from 1st of November, I was checking a lot in the last months where my files where located in the pages and for the last 3-4 months they prioritize the new files which jumped my sales a lot, over 100 assets on daily basis, now I see they went back to the most downloaded assets back on the front pages, I already see an impact, curios if anybody else saw any impact in volume of sales for the 1st of November compared with the last months.
#122
Good month in general for me as well, over 3000$ in total.

Very dissapointing start of the month, never had so low number of sales on both SS and AS, strange, its not a PH around the world.

Hey,

I got an invitation to submit to TongRo Images Inc., anybody has any experience with them?
#124
Probably you will see nothing regarding adobe firefly bonus from wirestock, thats pocket money for them. It will be very hard for them to divide for each contributor since they don't have access to any data from Adobe regarding this bonus.

There is no surprise this whole industry is going to crap when we give our work almost for free, we get what we deserve.
