We seem to all have different opinions, but these are
my best because these have all paid out. 1 - Dreamstime 2 - Shutterstock 3 - Bigstockphoto 4 - Fotolia I do not have many images on these, but they just do not have the response to my work the top ones do. I think he means a stock site. This is the first I've heard of 'em, I think.
The real question is do they have any sales. 105
Shutterstock.com / Re: no email about payout this month?« on: December 03, 2008, 14:35 »
It happened to me when I didn't clear the minimum amount on the last day of the month.
Had to wait another month, but it was good cause it was that much more on payout. 106

I joined in January but never submitted anything. Just as well, I guess.

Agree with Whitechild, but I think the composition could be changed a little.
Maybe crop the left side some. 108

Why give a down on such a small sample? Or is that unavoidable?

What browser are you guys using?
I rarely see DT or IS being down on IE 7. It's good on IE 8 Beta too, though you may need to turn on Compatability mode for some sites. 111
General Stock Discussion / Re: BigStock stats« on: August 28, 2008, 16:46 »
Hi, Warren.
It took a long time before I saw any sales at BigStock, but I see at least a small amount of sales each month, now. Better than none. As far as views, I had at least one sale with no views, and one day 80 views with no sales, so views do not mean a great deal there. Bottom line is just hang in there and don't worry too much. In the meantime, keep uploading to other sites as well. 113
Adobe Stock / Re: Clone of Fotolia web site for under $500? Are they stupid or insane?« on: June 12, 2008, 18:56 »
He only has to use the Fotolia API. No need to have someone re-invent it.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Those that agree step to the right - all others please face the wall« on: June 09, 2008, 13:30 »
I agree, but only to a point.
My fractals were selected from groups of computer generated images for color and pattern, for use by designers for backgrounds and such. I can't see much use for them otherwise. If, however, a designer needs a colorful background for his/her work, then they could be worth the effort. -Jerry 115

Computer Hardware / Re: Confused about graphic cards« on: May 16, 2008, 11:20 »
If you have a heat problem due to lots of hardware in the case,
a new video card is not going to help. A simple test is to leave the side panel off and see if the problem goes away. You may need fewer hard drives in the case. Maybe a big external drive would be the answer. 117
General Stock Discussion / Re: Why Do They Do This?« on: May 16, 2008, 09:59 »
Howard is right. Consistancy is what is needed. At DT you re-submit
after you have fixed the issues the reviewer found the first time. 118
Dreamstime.com / Re: Do you enter dreamstime competitions?« on: April 07, 2008, 22:04 »
I've gotten in twice and don't mind a couple going to exclusive. It brings attention to your port
so better sales and if you should get a buy out it goes for $6000. It's a boost to your ego as well. 119
Dreamstime.com / Re: Monthly Contest Buy-Out« on: March 11, 2008, 08:41 »
Just my opinion, its much better to get a level 5 image than the $25.
Being accepted for the contest is a boost to your port, and those level 5s can become your best sellers. 120

Software - General / Re: Photoshop CS2 or CS3« on: March 06, 2008, 09:11 »
There may be legit dealers on e-bay, but it is fairly easy to buy software
that is counterfeit. A case in point, I double checked the seller and he had a good rating, and serial numbers that could be registered. The product I purchased still turned out to be counterfeit. Tip offs are no manual, not shrink wrapped, no original box, no eula. It is always best to buy from a real business, and if you own a product, there is most always an upgrade path to a better version that won't break the bank. 122
Off Topic / Re: gumgum.com« on: February 21, 2008, 15:09 »
It says gumgum does not sell, and contributers are to refer customers to gumgum.
I don't think so. 123

Each time I get rejected, it simply says to upload again in the prescribed number of days.
I must have missed it somewhere, but how long should I wait? -Jerry |
