1 year - 100 images - 0 sales.  New images not even getting any views.  But, it's spring, and hope refuses to die.

Bleh, that's not good news.

Ha!

One and half year!

750 images, only one sale...

I ll be patient till 1000, after that....

Of course that many people live below of standards...

I just want to tell what income can be enough for normal living in my region...

I live in Croatia...

I need min 1500 $ per month to live, for normal middle class... But solo...
Double it if  you have a family...

Living things  are more expensive, much more than in EU or USA...

Does anybody has universal MR that is accepted on all sites...?

Here is probably the best site for buying and selling excellent web templates:

Here is my friend's ref link with his templates, he is expert for web design...

Yury said here: The time coming will be rough and just as we saw a lot of macro shooters not being able to "survive" when micro arrived, so we will see a lot of amateur micro shooters not being able to survive with the entry of professional micro shooters. (The yuri clones as they are sometimes called)

This supports my earlier conclusion:
Every hobby where the money spinning, leading to the professionalisation, and transition into the industry ...
One day leading agencies will receive only professionals or most talented photographers, not everyone with good isolations without overfiltering...

Adobe Stock / Re: Hahaha, 2 EL's for $3.92 each, lol
« on: March 03, 2010, 11:42 »
I sold one of my files for 8 credits, if we count 1 credit= 1,2$ that mean it was sold for 9,6$
I got 1,57$ because US tax(30%),usually is 2,24$

So: 1,57/9,6*100=16,35%

I am getting only 16,35 % of whole sale amount...

I will die young because of that... ::) :P :-X :-\ :'(

We contributors, should finally think a little about everything,,,

Site Related / Re: Microstock Earnings poll update
« on: March 02, 2010, 11:46 »
But 5 to 10$ is 10 isn't it!
Also if my earnings on SS drops from 200 to 100$ that is not middle or 5, that is disaster!

I was happy same when it was 10-20S, 20-40$ that was big progress for me..

So we can have 1 for -50%,then 2 for-20% etc. isn't point in that, point is in right measure for every portfolio, no matter how its big.

Maybe is best solution to track RPI...

P.S.

As uncleGene said, we have another information there, agency position on the market, so maybe solution is some kind of "sinergy" between position and monthly changes for ever agency.

So, I agree, we need expert for statistic here... ::) :P

I'm sorry that I have to say ...

This new way of statistics  in poll does not mean much ...

Portfolios of different sizes indicate different earnings, meaning this would be usable if we all had the same size of the portfolio ...

If Yuri has a $ 900 earnings last month on the IS, it is catastrophic for him ,but$ 900 for me is a more than excellent...

Because of that, We need a relative (percentage) way of calculating this statistics ,not absolute..

The solution is to follow the changes in percentage compared to the previous month...

Example:
0-10% of change is 1 , 10-20%(2), 20-30%(3)  etc...

The Polls have also been updated to give a better idea of which sites are good earners.  Cast your votes.

http://www.microstockgroup.com/pollsvote/

Is this new "money earnings approach" better idea...!?

That can be solution in case if we all have same size of portfolio... But we have huge spread between sizes of members portfolios... 100 $ is excellent for someone on IS, bud very bad for someone else with much bigger porfolio...

I think that percentage changes for each agency, from last month is better solution...

This is absolute not relative statistic, relative is better for various sizes of portfolios...

Just curious, how much did the photographer take from the $65.000?

I 'll be satisfied with 6.500 $... :P :-\

So borg, you're saying you'd work for 10% of sales price?
Ok, that would be 10 cents on subs in the future... Good Luck with that!

Noo! Noo! No!

My mistake, sorry!

I wanted to say that I was pleased with sales of $ 6.500

We can expect further professionalization of micorstock...

be careful, as the next big thing in microstock could be a sudden invasion of
chinese and indian photographers selling like crazy with very low production costs.

actually i'm surprised it didn't happened already, maybe their english isn't good enough
for keywording ?  ???

I thik it's not possible...

You need army of freelancers for that, that mean new generation there of children in middle class with enough money,  and lot of free time...
So, when they come into this business, India and China will bring the biggest buyers population in this market...

Track this chart!

We have to watch less Hollywood films about evil threat from East (we saw "evil" Russians, now Chinese etc,  propaganda) ...  :P :P :P

This is normal!

Yuri needs to know that his style was embraced by many of us, so competition is increasing...

Many people think that money is in his style...

Like in every other business, we will see rise in standards and pricing, hooby will become job, and door will not be open for everyone, only for pros...

First car was a hobby product, now is industry...

First plane was a toy, now that is fastest transportation on Earth...

First photographer was a weirdo, now it is business...

We can expect further professionalization of micorstock...

Canstock is better than BigStock,123RF,VR,CC and CS for me!

Ok, I uploaded 6 images.

Shutterstock accepted 5 and rejected 1 image for poor quality, and Fotolia rejected the same 5 that Shutterstock accepted and accepted the same 1 image Shutterstock rejected, again for poor quality.

I know reviewers are human beings, but.... it seems some standards should be reviewed first. :)

Deja Vu my friend, veery often!

I suggest a new name for the main category "FIVE OF KIND"

Five is  always good number for categorization, after three...

Also I had yesterday FS regular sale cca 27 $, so Canstock worth to be there, in six I mean...
