With 1000 good Photos i make more than 1000.-  $ every month at macrostocks like Alamy. And i get 65% there... Here is something wrong....

I have 40 files at Istockphoto. I make $45+ a month there. At that rate, 1,000 photos would be $1125 a month.  ;)

whow! I would be happy with 300$ (and 2000 images online)! lol!

tnx! as soon as I finish my expanding to StockXpert I will start uploading on istock (I hate that small weekly limit), and once I upload most of the photos, I expect 1000$ per month in total (FT+SS+DS+StockXpert+IS).

I am thinking to expand on bigstock, but dont have much time for upload and stuff.... and I dont thing bigstock is such a good earner....  if it is less than 50$ per month, it is not worth it. it takes a lot of time to manage all those sites.....

boy when I remeber when I was exclusive to fotolia! :D I was making 100 bucks, and was happy! lol!

anyway, FT is still my best earner, but SS is very close. in mart I think that SS-FT will be 50-50

« on: February 10, 2008, 08:56 »
Hm... I have just read, they pay you only 20% of sale to photographer (for non exclusive images). that is too low. Is it worth uploading to istock?

For example, if I have 1000 images online, can I earn 100$ per month?

I uploaded about 1000 images on StockXpert (in past few days), and transfered my first 50 (50 per day is limit) from my briefcase to review yesterday. Those were some of my first images with my dSLR, which means not so perfect in terms of isolaton, better images are yet to come. Also, there were 3-4 sets, with simmilar images, in some degree (not too much simmilar, but not too much different), and guess what? All of them aproved?! I heard a lot of bad stories about StockXpert, and I just cant believe that all of my first 50 are aproved! LOL! I hope that will continue, I am starting to like StockXpert already! hhhhh

Anyway, I didnt put "isolated" keyword,  ;D

This is the example what I mean by "not so perfect images, and simmilar", and I say, better images are yet to come! Whopie! I hope I will not loose my "beginners luck" hehehe.

audio is screwed up.

I was wondering if this was only me.  All these tutorials had fine audio in the past.  But the same tutorials, posted over the past few days, have had the audio screwed up.  There was an upgrade to flash recently.  Don't know if that's part of the problem or not.  Anyone else seeing this problem?

yeah, exactly. in the past, audio was OK, but in last few tutorials (in past few days) all audios are messed up. (i watched few tutorials).

btw, tnx fot the tips miz ;)

Adobe Stock / Re: Payouts Delayed??
« on: February 09, 2008, 17:54 »
My last few payments took 13 days. So I am used to wait up to 14 days (2 weeks).

I agree, they should have fixed intervals, even like SS, once per month, this is totaly unpredictable. I never know when could it happen, tomorow, or in 10 days... so it is hard to plan other payment requests....

but it is not catastrophy after all... most important is that I get my money.... :)

Hot air baloons are copyrighted. I think you need property release for each baloon.

you are right, but there will be put a lot of work in uploading those 2000 images, I just dont want to throw away all that work. 1500 accepted would be acceptable.

But you are right. I have nothing to loose (beside my time), so I will give it a try. :)

Hm.....

I am totaly new to StockXpert, and I uploaded only 1 image, to test it:

http://stockxpert.com/browse.phtml?f=view&id=9213092

I did not isolate this with any isolation tool, only I adjusted levels. So there must be areas at the bottom of the image that are not exacltly white. And it is aproved, so I do not know what to think? I have about 2000 images, so I am thinking should I upload them to StockXpert or not. If there will be 1000 rejected, than I would not. I should try another one for test.

I have set my eye on this lens:

 Canon EF 200mm f/2.8 L II USM

Price: 650 eur / USD

can anyone tell me is it worth it? any bad things I should know about this lens?

I want to shoot portraits in the distance, or wildlife, but for stock photography, so quality must be superb.

In last 3 days I had:

154 uploaded, 151 accepted, 3 rejected. Hm...

it is not Fotolia, it is your photos, I guess.
