Adobe Stock / Re: FOTOLIA - NOW PAYING LESS THAN 16% !!!!!!
« on: February 05, 2010, 10:55 »
It took FT a few weeks to go back and review their policy of insisting people get an ITIN number to stop them withholding tax.  It might take a while for them to sort this current mess out.  I am confident they will have to do something.  Their reputation is already shaky with a lot of us and they wont have a business if they get this wrong and there is a mass exodus.

Yep! Maybe they are risk court only because  this double credit lines, here is also a lot of lawyer contributors...

Several currencies with no exchange between (through prices), double credit lines, several prices for credits, variable  royalities percetages....
Oh my God, what a mess!!!

Can you imagine  some similar ideas in everyday business among men!?
Total mess and a lot of complaints ,demonstrations,strikes etc.

We all need to know this...

Always but always bigger prices will mean less sales, part of buyers  population  will search cheaper...

Without growing of contributors shares this have to  mean less earning for them....

So, what we can do!?

Nothin', take it or leave it....

But on "long distance", FT will feel changes...
This is "the law of connected containers" and double synergic adverse effects, fewer buyers and less contributors...

Aren't there any other sites that have 25 cents commission for subs? I do not believe that SS will feel any pressure to lower prices just because a new site is popping up.

Yes, there is CanStockPhoto. I believe the CanStockPhoto standard subscription pays 0.25. Fotosearch subscription through CanStockPhoto is 0.3.

The difference at Canstock is that those .25 sales (which are priced too cheap for sure) are offset by frequent $20 credit sales through Fotosearch.

At Thinkstock there are no credit sales.  It will all be .25 sub sales, so there is nothing else to be gained by being on the site.

I think there is single credit sale, contributor gets 20 % of price, but that sales will be rarely, because it is subscription site...

On that topic on FT forum, nobody talks about the difference between the EU,UK i USA which was till now ... Only about a new change in credit price...

But currency  problem of different income between contributors from EU-UK-USA still remain...

StockXpert.com / Re: Confused
« on: February 03, 2010, 17:30 »
Its veery weird that existing StockXpert site will be only for sales tracking of our existing StockXpert photos on Thinkstock...
Why not migrate all to TS...?

1086
No I can't agree with this...

SS is cca 30 % of my total income, this mean that eventual exclusive program need to bring about  70% more...
That is impossible....

Also subscription site doesn't need unique photos from exclusivity they need new, new and new photos....
Exclusivity isn't benefit for them....

Newer is better...

I haven't had any sales at all for JIU in February.  Has anyone else?  I assumed they were closed down...

I had a ppd sale today actually....sigh.

Me to!

1,5$

Beginning of this year is recognizable by increasing the number of subscription sales...

On DT I have 10 in a row in two days.... On other sites almost the same....

Does it mean less earnings, or agencies knows what they are doing...?
Is it a way of attracting more customers and money ,from which we continue to receive our "piece of cake"?
Or is it just "assent" of the struggle for survival on the market ...?

Fotolia  putted  on their site that credit worth 1,2 or 20 % more, so if you make payout of 50 credits that mean you have to get 75 $ or or GBP etc.

But we need official news from them....

Same on US...
http://us.fotolia.com/Info/Credits
New value 1,20 $

That mean 20 % more of earnings for us, also there is a raise in credits price from this year...

That is big raise for us,not bad!

Here is "new year" earnings changing for Bronze level:
XS: -13% $0.32 --> $0.28
S: +31% $0.64 --> $0.84
M: +9% $1.28 --> $1.40
L: +23% $1.60 --> $1.96
XL: +17% $1.92 --> $2.24
XXL: +25% $2.24 --> $2.80

Now + 20 % more  ;) ;)

Hey guys and girls...

Don't give us your earnings in global, that mean us nothing...

Give us RPI in $ for this month, previous month and last January...

That is statistic!!!  ;)

Mine:

This month, January'10: 0,48$
December'09: 0,50$
Last January'09: 0,37$

1099
What does it mean, lock up period,what for?

How long this offer will lasts!

It means u must leave them for al least six months !  then u can remove them.  But u get paid $0.20 for each image accepted !  Not a bad deal !?
It lasts until you've had 500 images accepted !!  Pretty good too !
