Hello all,
The vector queue is one of the most specialized of our review queues and it's running a bit high right now with new submissions. We're aware and we're giving it extra attention.
Thanks for your patience and submissions.
[EDIT] I should also add - there are times that image submissions that have issues can go into a separate queue for Tier 2 review. If you're experiencing extraordinarily abnormal review times (i.e., a week or many weeks), you can also reach out to the Contributor Success team at [email protected]. [/EDIT]
Best,
Scott VP Content Shutterstock
Thankyou Scott for letting us know. I hope that things will speed up in near future

That sounds great! Congrats.
Ya this sounds great.. but the license says unlimited copies which you can resale.?? As if they have purchased the entire copyright of the license. I am little confused with the license, is this right??

Well the Unlimited Copies for resale items is a bit worrying.
not sure if they have noticed it or not... or what are they upto... http://graphicleftovers.com/licenses

I was reading Wikipedia about the topic of Microstock photography and found interesting that stockxpert was closed by Getty Images so that iStock can run freely. I wasn't aware about it. Some contributors said that stockxpert was very nice in compared to earning and royalties. And current status about iStock and Getty seems that they really do not like their contributors and are only doing business(fraud) to contributors....... contributors which are backbone of them. Its so sad! The acquisition of iStockphoto by Getty Images in 2006 was followed by acquisition of StockXpert by Jupiterimages during 2006. Consequently Jupiterimages was bought by Getty Images in 2009 which resulted closure of StockXpert in 2010 because of being non-strategic for Getty compared to iStockphoto. It's true that our account was blocked in 2010 and as consequence we had to fire almost the entire team, 10 designers out of 11 we had at that moment were sacked. Shutterstock reviewed the entire portfolio at that time, and they were releasing verified batches of images weekly that's why there were a bit over 21k instead of the entire portfolio. They found a few more images and they were removed.
thank GOD you were the only guy that wasn't fired
this is not only the biggest rip off in microstock history but also the biggest joke!
Never knew that they had previous allegations against them in 2010, if this was the case then they should have been double conscious in creating design and managing the team. My previous statement on giving a chance to listen the plea was becoz I thought that they have been claimed for infringement issue for the first time. @brainik, I guess there are lot of RIPS in the portfolio, if you hold the animal photos copyright then better show the RAW files or else accept the truth that the portfolio is no more.

I was very closely following this thread and just wanted to share that, yes brainik and their team did rip off images from other sources.
It is very sad for any user to see its image being ripped off. I always use to be a good fan of HighLegStudio but never thought they do such things.
Although my personal opinion.... hilegstudio's work was seriously very nice, being a designer I will agree with brainik that its very hard to create vector images and... when the number comes 40k I can't even imagine the hard work they put up.
Yes, the company did ripped off images and created their own vectors, no matter whether its one file rip or many.
But, from my opinion there should be some other system too rather than just closing the entire account. It is very hard for any artist to create so much portfolio. The person charges should be done with penalty or let the portfolio banned to 1-2 months or don't pay his earning for 2-3 months giving very strict last warning to him. Or let the user have direct interaction with the claimed person and get things sorted out.
If you are a good designer then why do such things, create your own and be safe always. Portfolio which was there for 5 years with 40k images is very hard to create, why take risk.?
Also if banning the artist the only solution then why nothing happens to those users who without concerns upload images/vectors for free on those file sharing websites and torrent illegally. No one can do anything to them. Daily images are being given for free and nothing happens to them.

But one shouldn't forget that the Android market share is from a whole lot of different Cell Phone producers and not just one firm like Apple. So the Apple market share is still quite big!
Yes it is just because of this fact only I got confused. I think I will wait more till other devices get launched. I hate this thing when you do a lot of research and finally buy the product..... and after one week you get news that a new product from another company was launched with less price and more new features..

Where did you get the info on market share from? Today on the Radio they where talking about a 20% market share from Apple (iPhone) and around 60% Android.
woops!! I just read some blog yesterday. Its regarding iPad not iPhone. I will have to agree that Android is really kicking up the market now.

I think people had unrealistic expectations for iPhone 5. They can't even say what they are missing, they just doesn't get the "wow"-factor because the product has matured. Even if the product is better than the earlier version in just about any aspect. Every upgrade cannot give the same feeling as the first iPhone or first iPad or first iPod, it's just the way it is.
I didn't had unrealistic expectations, but as said apple products cover nearly 60-70% of market share so yes I expected bit more. Samsung Galaxy S3 had more than such features which we are seeing now in iPhone5. Here is the quick comparison between the products. http://www.thinkdigit.com/Mobiles-PDAs/Apple-iPhone-5-versus-competing-flagship-smartphones_10762.htmlI always loved apple products but got confused now

Yesterday, iPhone5 was released. Earlier I was planning to buy this new phone but I didn't find anything exiting in it. Its just the same, I am disappointed with this release. Can anyone suggest any more exiting phone other than iPhone series or should I go with this one only.

I checked there official website and found that there are many products available in different sizes. Can anyone suggest me which model should I go for Products available are: - Intuos5 Tablets (5 Sizes)

ok... First I congrats Yuri for his success on PeopleImages.com , and I was really looking forward if Yuri allow other contributors too to submit there content on his site.
Regarding commission the agencies give, we should always respect them as it is just because of them only that we are here and a entire new industry is setup. If there was no shutterstock, dreamstime, istock...etc then we would never been here. I still love shutterstock for giving us the fare commission.
Yes, everyone here wants to earn money.... as it is the nature of life. Everyone want to have better living, everyone has family, everyone wants to see the beauty of life. So if you are working for money then its no harm. Enjoy your work..
Also donating and doing social work is good but it is not required to tell in public that yes, I did this and did that. When you're a beautiful person on the inside, there is nothing in the world that can change that about you.
Also lets clear out one thing that its all about passion you have towards your work, and this passion gives you money. Your Passion = More Money
Yuri made an informative post; Sean found a point with which to take exception; Yuri let it get personal. Now, we are all choosing sides. Why? It really has nothing to do with us. Baldrick Trousers had the right idea -- Why not shut the ef up and let the Heavies duke it out?
PS: I'm cheering for Yuri on this one.
haha... no one here is choosing sides. Its just the personal opinion which I am sharing, nothing to do with anyone.

It depend on the type of market you are in. Web design is going towards flat colors now, while if you are working for graphic design then you may require color tones which seems to attract. There is no rule like to gradient or not to gradient, all you need to make your artwork attractive. Simplicity is always considered best.
