It's also so damned nice to see they are willy pinning the Editor's Choice images
That clears up something that I was wondering about. One of the images in the 'pink' assignment has over 2000 views and I was wondering why it has so many more than the other images. The image is on Pinterest and the views must be coming from there .

I seem to get a day or two every week where sales rocket and then drop back down again the next day. I think it is just the luck of enough people wanting your images on any particular day.

However, this person claims to have printed and used ALL images uploaded to Flickr that day.
Actually he doesn't We have spoken directly to Kessels who said that around 350,000 photos of the total 950,000 appear in the show. Printing out all 950,000 proved prohibitively expensive. "But the volume represents these 950.000 images. I'm sorry if I have disappointed you with this, but hope this mail will clear things up a little bit," he goes on to say on Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/stml/6407463775/). Although that doesn't change anything as I doubt that he just used the ones of people that had given permission.

Be careful as I have read that they often then come in and buy it as a sub sale.

they seem to get the picture that some of us aren't copycat hobbyists who upload only on sundays and celebrating every penny they make.
Really??? As far as I'm concerned they are the site that least gets that!!

Why any one is entertaining the idea of going exclusive with SS is beyond me......
+1
A big +2

all I do now is upload and forget.
That's what I tend to do now. Not worth worrying about things that are out of our control. I'm trying to get to the stage where stock income is just a bonus rather than a necessity.

Well Im sure its a glitch, bug or something, I mean I just did a search on "construction engineer" and among the first 5 pages, there are 3 pages with guys and girls in a hardhat isolated on white, ALL! with zero dls, yep, zero dls.
cant be right, can it.
A glitch that has lasted over a year? At the moment new images seem to be at the front of the search so I guess that is what you are seeing.

My weekly rank used to often be in the top 500 and this week it's 5,700. Whatever they've done with the search, it must of buried my portfolio.
I feel ya!!!
Mine has been under 30 in the good old days but now stands at around 800 !!!!!!!!!!!
WOW! That is bad. I mean from 1000 to 2000 is probably meaningless, but 60 to 800 could be meaningful....and not in a good way.
Yes, a total disaster May 2010 was one of my BMsE and I earnt 6x more than this May!!!!!

Sales are slightly up for me but still far too many xs, s and sub sales. New images are finally starting to sell. Almost half of my sales at the moment are coming from images uploaded in the last couple of months.

My dls have actually gone up a bit the last couple of weeks but so many subs that earnings are still just as bad.

I've had 6 sales there in 7 months. 4 of them through the DDP partner making the grand total of less than 7 euros. I have stopped uploading to them, total waste of time.

I'm with them through zoonar but I've given up bothering uploading to Zoorar as virtually no sales there.

As well as sales plummeting at fotolia RPD is also plummeting. 123rf came very close to catching up after a couple of good months there. I never in my wildest dreams expected to see that day!!!! RPDs for last month 123rf - 1.50$ fot - 99c DT 3.50$

Dreamstime consistently for me goes in cycles no or low downloads for a couple of days then a couple of days of good sales. Seems like they cycle the best match positions around.
This month is lower than last few but within the limit of what I was consider normal
Yes, exactly what I was saying.

Hi. I haven't had a single download in over 2 weeks. I heard there was something messed up with the search results so other images got in front of the buyers. Is this fixed now? Im having no activity at all over there? How is is for you?
The fact that your images aren't at the front of the search doesn't mean that the search is necessarily messed, just changed. As long as a selection of new and proved images are getting seen then the search is still good. What I am finding is that I am making 5 times more some days than others. Seems very erratic as if they are changing the results every few days (which Serban hinted at in the forums). I suppose this gives a lot more people a crack at getting some good sales instead of always having exactly the same images at the front of the search. My earnings are down overall this month because of the not so good days but I still can't say that the search is messed, just different.

Got you beat- while on 1-2-3RF while I was uploading my pics they were approving at the same time! It was so funny! I couldn't figure out why there were no pending after uploading and noticed they were in my approved folder...
That used to happen most of the time at Fotolia a couple of years ago. As I finished one off the previous one would be approved.

But, of course, that depends on you believing that the agency will behave honestly.
If the agency was dishonest they could tell you they have deleted the images and not delete them. That's the risk we all take when uploading images to sites.
