ok... First I congrats Yuri for his success on PeopleImages.com , and I was really looking forward if Yuri allow other contributors too to submit there content on his site. Regarding commission the agencies give, we should always respect them as it is just because of them only that we are here and a entire new industry is setup. If there was no shutterstock, dreamstime, istock...etc then we would never been here. I still love shutterstock for giving us the fare commission. Yes, everyone here wants to earn money.... as it is the nature of life. Everyone want to have better living, everyone has family, everyone wants to see the beauty of life. So if you are working for money then its no harm. Enjoy your work..  Also donating and doing social work is good but it is not required to tell in public that yes, I did this and did that. When you're a beautiful person on the inside, there is nothing in the world that can change that about you. Also lets clear out one thing that its all about passion you have towards your work, and this passion gives you money. Your Passion = More Money

It depend on the type of market you are in. Web design is going towards flat colors now, while if you are working for graphic design then you may require color tones which seems to attract. There is no rule like to gradient or not to gradient, all you need to make your artwork attractive. Simplicity is always considered best.

with just a little bit of clicking around it just looks like they are a search engine for images. The one image I found just redirected me to the free image on photoxpress. There are also a lot of Shutterstock images on there, but those are 'sponsored images' which you just click through to Shutterstock and then have to purchase like regular.
Yes agreed that they are the search engine, and also agree on sponsor results. But there are many, many illustration which are free to download, although those downloaded are not direct download from the website. All downloads are redirected towards other websites which are hosting those downloads for free in there servers. My question is how can a website provide such a search platform which allows user to search the entire web and allow users to download the illustrations for free??

I found a website with search engine which lets you download all the most popular files for free. The website says 22,287,515 free files downloaded till now. http://www.freepik.com/This is so sad that.....  Isn't there any law or rules for such website???

Search seems ok to me, I've tried 3 different searches.
I have tried 3-4 searches in between 1-1hour of gap and found different-2 results. Although I am not searching using keyword. I am seeing just the abstract category of the page. Not sure whether same issue is with keyword search or not. Although those that came through are selling almost like in the good old days, they're getting a big push,
It seems that good old days are gone for me..... nostalgic

I was seeing the most popular images today and found that its totally messed up and the images are swapping a lot. I today found different most popular images in different time. Did any one else facing so?? It seem there are lot of bugs going on these day. Even I had extreme less new image sale when I uploaded around 48 images rencelty. This is very strange as it never happened so. New stuffs doesn't seems to be selling. Also the approval time is crossing 4-5days now

It seems that discussion went long... I wished that they do it 1$ (its just a wish )... but I knw that they are not going to do so The only way I find is that they offer exclusivity to contributors... and then carry that system till maximum the contributors joins the exclusivity plan. And now buyers will get new images only on there site. So now they can increase the price giving fair commission to everyone. We all love shutterstock and I personally will join the exclusive program whenever they will offer it.
