Newbie Discussion / Re: Suddenly sales stop? Is this normal?« on: December 12, 2016, 18:29 »Oh good! It's not just me. Haha it's great when things are going well but this slow down is brutal. And I've still been uploading quite a bit. SS is taking longer to review than they were. Need a good big sale to make my day. Yes, because it's easy to go from 2 sales a day to 4. Enjoy it. 1128

So, someone pays big bucks for exclusive rights to an image, but you're ok licensing a similar image shot five seconds later multiple times on SS? You don't think the guy who paid all that cash might be a wee bit upset?

You lost me. Was it 60 cents like you posted or are you saying it was six thousand dollars? And why would you put the same images on an RM agency that you have on SS?

"This mormning though I had a fantastic surprise my other agency had sold two of the pictures with world-rights etc and for the hefty price of. $.6000!! ( my percentage) I nearly fainted I thought sales like that was a thing of the past."
60 cents caused you to faint? 1132
Photo Critique / Re: what is my photo/portfolio worth?« on: December 12, 2016, 03:15 »in 3 weeks, my entire SS portfolio has earned me about $20. every sale was for 38 cents. how much might I expect to earn with my existing portfolio in 1 year, or monthly, or for its lifetime? how many years do images sell for? So, you've got about 10,000 videos. And you're at the highest royalty level. So you have some idea how SS works, obviously. Here's a tip, though. Try a different composition then shooting the same thing repeatedly at eye level, from the shoulder up, cutting off the top of the head. Something weird here. 1133

CM turns a blind eye to pretty much any infringement. They like to pass the risk to the buyer and photographer.

I don't see how limits are "insulting". They may be frustrating. You may have to edit your submissions tighter. But I don't see that as "insulting".

General Stock Discussion / Re: Free Blogger Illustrations« on: November 28, 2016, 10:05 »In reality I think you just create a much greater risk for piracy with people downloading those illustrations and later selling them as their own. I've seen it happen hundreds of times... It happens a lot. It happened to me when I decided to do a little free experiment. Very annoying to see my stuff pop up on the very same sites I sell on, effectively stealing business. So free really backfired... There are people who can't afford to buy a lot of things. That doesn't mean they get them. 1149
General Stock Discussion / Re: Free Blogger Illustrations« on: November 28, 2016, 09:58 »but what if i can make a pirate to a genuine buyer or help people who are really struggling in any means. this would be a drop of water to them . If they're a pirate, there's no incentive to pay you if you give it to them. People who are really struggling probably don't need digital illustrations. 1150
