I just looked at my profile page on Istock and saw that I have a whole bunch of referral earnings.... I just looked there, too - congratulations on becoming the newest member of the elite diamond club!

I got mine within 24 hours of requesting it.

The only high profile ads I regularly see are from IS and SS. IS typically does a two page spread on the inside front or back cover, while SS typically does a full page, sometimes on the back cover.

Nothing's up at DT, it's just you.

Occasionally, and if I'm in the right mood.

I don't use filters, either. I used to, but then saw the light(!) after reading this article. For cleaning - especially in the field - I wholeheartedly recommend using a LensPen.

... replace the words the SV 'experts' strip from my uploads ...
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm waiting until the sales volume improves before I begin to do that.

Where do I find these numbers please?
Ya gotta count 'em manually - yer at 1 DL & 800+/- views.

900+/- views on 850+ images for me, but only 9 DLs ($11+). DLs are still very low at SV - even top producers like elenathewise (67 DLs), iofoto (29 DLs), and lumaxart (21 DLs) aren't nearing triple digits, and most of the big guns are noticeably absent.

Congrats on the ELs, pixart. I've been a fan of this shot of yours for a while now, and I'm glad to hear you're making some cash from it.

I think it's going to be a short month cash-wise: although there are 22 working days, this month has the big American holiday, which kill 2 or 3 of 'em. I'd be very surprised if I got a BME this month.

Jumped a level too
$20k+ last month? Wow ... you rock, andresr.

This, to me, provides a valuable lesson in image sizing. The contibutor would make more money if she/he had made the image a mere 184 pixels wider, which would give it an XL size on IS.
In order to maximize income you need to pay attention to image sizes when posting to the various sites.

... we're thinking, for example if you upload more than 500 images in a month, then for the next month you have a 5% bonus in commission. We're still formulating ideas about this, so feedback would be appreciated.
500 images/month? That's crazy - it's impossible to have that level of productivity while maintaining creativity. 200 per month is much more realistic.

I think sharply_done mentioned that Ron Chapple (iofoto) had been with SS for a while and then closed his account. Anyone know why? I was wrong when I said that - his portfolio is a little difficult to locate on SS, and I didn't look hard enough before writing. My bad.

Don't you have any ambitions at all?
Not hard ones. When I make it into the 10k+ category I will probably spend my days cruising the west coast in my sailboat ...

Ok, so I have one at level 3 and and 10 at level 2. What about those with 10 DLs? Are they level oneandahalf?
10 DLs = Level 2.

Isn't a $10k+ category more than enough? I mean really, now.

How do I find out how many I have on each level?
Click on the "Online files" button, then sort your portfolio according to downloads by clicking on the "Downloads" column header. Levels are as follows: - 0-9 DLs: Level 1
- 10-24 DLs: Level 2
- 25-49 DLs: Level 3
- 50-99 DLs: Level 4
- 100+ DLs: Level 5
I have 23 at level 2 and another 15 within striking distance ... Go, stuff in my DT portfolio, go! [Edited to correct gaffes]

BME for SS & IS, 2nd straight month that IS produced more than SS, and my overall BME (15% income increase). I took the last half the month off, and SS sales fell dramatically because of it.

I'm at 376 overall with 1393 sales ... not too bad for only being at it for 10 months.

We must have had the same reviewer: I got a "this image has been upsized" rejection today, too. Needless to say, it wasn't upsized - it hadn't even been cropped - and it was accepted everywhere else.
iStock ... sigh.
