I remember uploading during xmas, a couple of hundred, and had a couple of BMEs in a row at the beginning of 2014. Not sure if it is related. But I think new files need to mature, better have them online so they get in front of buyers right after the holidays. I remember SS saying something about how the search works and I think therefore they dont get buried, because the algorithm will prevent it from getting buried, related to the search query. If what I say makes any sense

Hi guys, some broad answers to a few of the comments:
I think the main point here is that authors wont receive or have responsibility over the VAT paid. In the transaction chain, for VAT purposes, Envato will step in as the supplier and manage the compliance.

I have done their keyword promotion, only to find out I could see my own images on the 3rd line in the search when logged in. As soon as I logged out, that whole thing didnt work at all. Carrots, stick and all that.

Interesting point, I was uploading more regularly before than this year. Maybe that is an explanation. I have a backlog of a couple of hundred. I will see to it that I get these online and see if sales increase again.

I dont understand that reasoning. In my first 6 months I sold nothing, then my sales started to pick up, and I was dong well at 300 USD/month, until end of last year my sales started to decline. According to the theory, I should have gone up in the search because I was selling, yet I got less and less sales.

Shouldn't be too difficult and time consuming to get that integrated. At the moment the portfolio is hard to navigate. I understand the need to please buyers, but pleasing contributors is as important to the key of success.

Are the 300 accepted or not? If they are all accepted, quality is of such standard that the agencies feel confident in selling them. If they get 300 a week accepted they probably have a very high work rate. Nothing wrong with that. Stock studios probably upload 1000s a week of perfect high quality.

I agree to an extend, if you are using one brand as in Microsoft or Canon, it would be very costly to switch brand, like to Apple or Nikkon, as you have to replace all software and lenses as wel

We all have old images sell every now and then. But the last 3 days Im selling Nothing But 9 year old Images. I mean Nothing But. Nothing Newer. I hate it. My newer work Just falls faster and has no chance.thats a pretty screwy algorithm search if ya ask me.
It seems that new images need to mature a bit and then they start to sell. Its like my sales of new images always trails a few weeks, to months, and then they start selling.

Got a few designs off deviant art artists for composites. Paid them 50% of the earnings I made. Incredible artists there who dont realise how good they are and how much money they can make.
