Yes, you understand 'non-exclusive' correctly.

Maybe I'm missing something. As a Fotolia contributor is there any advantage or benefit to also signing up with the Adobe site and synching my two accounts? My Fotolia uploads are mirrored on Adobe anyway so why would I do that? The only reason I can see is that some might find the Adobe upload interface better or easier to use but other than that there is no reason to sign up. Right? On a seperate note, dissapointing to see that editorial images are still excluded. I had hoped that Scott (Braut) would have seen this as a priority given that FT/Adobe is the only major agency not to offer editorial images.
This is what I was wondering. Is there any reason not to just keep submitting through the Fotolia interface?

Right. I guess if the occasional sale makes you happy, keep on doing what 'works'.
No need to be polemical. I will see for the next few things that I will upload and I will make an idea about it. But if you suggest me to re-upload hundreds of videos (that now I'm selling well), rather than focus on what I need to do in the future to "get better"
Yes, I was suggesting you focus on getting better color and white balance to do better in the future. It sounded like you were happy with how your sales on the rest of your clips are and weren't interested in improving them.

This topic has been moved to Garbage Bin. No need for multiple posts.

What do you mean by "product photos"? There are lots of "product photos" - ie, things on white, on the sites already if you investigate a bit.
BTW, the sites don't buy the photos from you. You license through them.

Friday night, I got a shocking email from P5. Seven clips sold, one 4K and the rest HD. Best sales day ever, there.

Its hard to tell without seeing your clips, keywords and titles. Please post a link to your public portfolio and and we can offer more insight other than just general opinion.

Overall, your lighting looks very drab and the colors are murky and not white balanced correctly. That may be a result of vintage filtering you're adding.

There's no need to try anything 'sensual'. Keep her in regular clothing and work on your lighting and posing.

Is there even ONE person who would buy a camera and start from scratch just to do microstock?
I did, in 2004. That was after I saw increasing sales from the few 3d files I was able to upload. However, if I saw numbers like these today - 4 sales on IS over 3 months? - I don't think I'd continue.

Lots of people are still buying the GH4 for stock video, so it must be useful. I think the others are saying you need to stray from your wife, kid and your back and legs, to try some more commercial work to see if you can pull it off, before you make a cash outlay.

Yes, that's much better. Now you need to learn about "commercial value".

Yes. I don't see anything "defensive" in Jen's posts. They are just factual.

Honestly, if you're going to post nonsensical attacks, you're less likely to get the information you want in the future.

Seems like what was given was merely a factual response. To correct an incorrect assumption.

There are video editors, separate from the stills editors, as I understand it, so they are curating the collection. It is still a work in progress

Being rude about other people's work is a slippery slope. Glass houses and all that...
It might be rude, but it does bring up a legitimate question. How can so many people with great portfolios NOT be chosen to contribute to Stocksy, and yet these videos got approved? With all the bragging about how well the Stocksy collection is "curated", these videos seem very out of place. Maybe it isnt so much about how good a person's work is, but rather who the person is? No wonder people are having problems figuring out what Stocksy is looking for.
I don't believe we've been screening for video applicants yet. The current crop of videos are from a tiny group of existing members who were chosen for an initial collection, like Trinette Reed. It's opening to a wider base of members now. I assume you'll see the quirky as well as the more traditional, like the photo collection, as the portfolio gets fleshed out over time. 4K is part of it as well - if you're not seeing it, I assume they weren't submitted in 4k.

It's about convenience too. My family has four phones, and as far as I'm concerned the iPhones are very low in maintenance. I don't have time to do tech-support on four different brands of technology. Plus the computers, tablets and everything else.

Is this new? There is some videos on the featured page of Stocksy this morning: https://www.stocksy.com/1101911
Yep, brand new this week. Cool, eh?

Something funky going on with Fotolia notifications. It's now saying "Content Sold" as the title of the site mail instead of "Fotolia File Sold". Don't know if that indicates something.

I'm newbie here and have nothing to lose so I'm sticking with iS until they make that changes and if I don't like them, well I will delete account.
Here's why places can get away with the things they do.
Well I don't think we could compare. My pictures are average at best since I'm still learning both rendering and photography and I'm happy with every sale I make and it is no fair for me to ask tens dollars for pictures that aren't top quality.
If I capture some great shots or make some great 3D renders I would normally ask more money for them, by which I mean I will see where would upload things.
I don't see problem with that? And if iStock decides to lower our earnings I will also delete my account there, like I said in first post. But for now I have nothing to lose.
If your work is selling, it's "good enough", and they're happy to have you and anyone else that's willing to sign up, not caring about past actions. It's not commentary on you, just that that is why the system works for them.
