I know. I had 9500x8000 pixels image, and I uploaded it but did not show. So, I figured out that 8000x8000 is maximum (because I resized it to 7900x7400 or so) and it showed, but no error mesage.

use exposure compensation, or manual, or some other light metering mode. :p it is not point and shoot camera.

yeah, 2400x1600 (4mp) is minimum, and 8000x8000 is maximum allowed size.

If you do not know why, than it is not worth it. Buy 400D, it is great camera too.

Thank you! Also, what aperture sizes produce most shaprness? I tought the smallest will be sharpest, so I was using f25 or 28, but then I tried f14 and it was much sharper image. What do you reccomend for shooting small objects, such as apple, and to have depth of field on entire object, what aperture size is optimum (at focal length of 70-100mm for example).

Thank you all, but nobody answered my question about sharpening raw images. how much is optimum?

Thank you all, but all that did not fell from the sky, it is all hard work... And for the old camera, well, it is a little bit more than just ordinary compact. Canon S3 IS is a good camera, but dSLR is a whole new world... Anyway, I think that sales might be even better if search engine worked 100% correctly, but I do not complain anyway... just shooting images, and hopefully it will work some day fully.

Fotolia is my lowest rejection site. I get 98% accepted, and those that are rejected are "simmilar photo" reason.

If it is accepted on istock, then I try on others, if not, I leave exclusive on fotolia.

Few days ago I bought new camera, Canon EOS 400D and 28-105 f3.5-4.5 II USM lens. And it is a whole new world for me! I fall in love with camera the very first day. It is so great machine! But, my question is about sharpening the raw image? What settings do you use? I use 100 for sharpening, and 50 for luminiscence image noise reduction. (in photoshop CS3, raw editor).

Yes, the search engine is not perfect, but sales are great. First week of october, was better than july and august together for me! On workdays I have 7-15 sales, on weekends 2-3, and I am happy with that. My goal is to earn 300$ in october, and I am keeping my fingers crossed to acomplish that, so we shall see...

I see only ling register to buy images. I do not want to buy. I want to submit. How to register? Is there some other link, or there is the only one for buyers and submiters?

I have just registered to Bihstockphoto.com. Where do I set if the image is exclusive or not exclusive? Tnx.
P.S. Do they pay out using moneybookers?

My budget is low right now, because I am buying and camera too. In 6-7 months I will have money for L lens probably. I was using PRO1, my uncle has it, I just didnt like it. I prefer dSRL camera. And that is my final decision. So, I was asking Canon 28-105 vs Sigma 28-105, not 400D vs PRO1.

Naaah, I will buy 50mm f1.8 anyway. But for start I want one of these 2 lenses, because ONLY them I can afford right now. So I will probably go for that Canon 28-105 instead of Sigma. And latter, I will look for PRO lens. But since this is my first dSLR I think it is a decent one, and surely better than my old Canon PowerShot S3 IS camera

Chode, you've got 2234 images at Fotolia, but only 240 of those have got downloads. Clearly you've got to decide whether to leave them all at FT or submit to mutliple agencies.
If you believe the quality won't meet the standards elsewhere then of course you've got to leave them where they are.
You've got some great ideas worth shooting again once your DSLR arrives.
Tnx. I intend to repeat some of my ideas (but with different touch) with dSLR....
