Huge drop from mid Feb. I had lots of on demand sales which literally vanished overnight. And the new site design is HORRIBLE.

I had the exact same experience. Sold to a national online paper for an article and got about ther same too.

Because there is such confusion as to what on earth is going on I just wait for whatever money from audio and images comes through and bank it. I can't see anything in deep metta 3 and just give up. It's a huge mystery.

Well it's still zero sales for me in 2017. Can't be bothered uploading some decent images if they don't sell anymore.

SS doing really well. Alamy dead. Absolutely no sales for this year so far. Disgraceful considering the uploading I have done there.

Alamy is dead in 2017.

PhotoDune / Re: Anyone unworthy of Photodune yet?

I have just been booted out. Told that my images (that sell) don't meet their ivory tower standard and I should go and crawl under a rock somewhere and die.

As part of our library-wide assessment of photos on PhotoDune, weve done a review of your portfolio. Unfortunately, the sample we looked through resulted in a very high number of photos that did not meet our new library standards.

So they are not deleting just a few but all of them. baby and bathwater spring to mind. Oh well, their loss and SS gain.

Dead. Stone dead.

How big is your portfolio?  Still uploading?

Just short of 1400 and Yes.

They have suddenly become very strict in reviewing photos. For instance, they turned away shots on the basis of a low quality sensor, too blurry, high noise when in fact the image was taken on a Nikon D750 at 100 iso, some on a tripod with a very expensive 24mm 1.4 Nikor lens.

I was seeing my sales reported in Deep Metta but that figure has stayed the same for 2 weeks now. I assume either nothing is selling or they have disconnected the latest sales from Deep Metta. It's all very mysterious now with contributors left completely in the dark as to what is going on. How much they have deteriorated in the last 10 years I have been with them is beyond belief.

Abysmal lack of sales. Nothing at the weekend and dead Monday with one tiny weeny 36 cent sale.

Sadly i can't afford to pull my port as every penny counts for me. 2016 has been a terrible slump all round for me. I dread 2017.

I find Istock/Getty has become a huge mystery with confusion as to what is happening. I have no idea as to what is going on anymore and just wait for the smaller amount of money to come in every month.

Again, i have searched the file numbers in istock and nothing comes up so I don't even know what images they are.

Well it gets worse and worse at IS. I have just had 5 emails all come in stating a refund for each one:

We regret to inform you that a refund of $3.50 has been issued for the purchase of your file #*******This transaction has now been voided from your GI or Partner Program sales. The client has complied with all policies surrounding the refund and destruction of this file.

What does this mean except I have now lost $23 from my already low earnings ?

Most likely this means you'd find your files on some giveaway site soon, check Google picture search in a week or two. According to istock PR department "destruction of this file" must sound really reassuring.

So are you saying this was contrived to steal my image ? I have tried to find the file numbers i Istock's search and they don't come up.

Alamy.com / Keywording system not changed
« on: December 20, 2016, 03:58 »
Some time ago I read that the new keywording system was in place instead of the time consuming 3 tier system. I am still finding nothing has changed and the system is still 3 tier. Has this now been scrapped ?

Some of mine have been queuing for a couple of months when I asked support they said there was a problem with queuing order - currently seem to be reviewing one a day! Still its not like I'm losing lots of sales! I carry on cos its easy to upload. No longer one of the best of the rest for me.

It's never been anywhere near the best of the rest for me ever.

And what happened to the days when they reviewed images within the hour ? Over a week later and still in the que.

I have gone through my biggest selling images on all sites and improved the keywording (still the old 3 tier keywording, not the new we have been promised) and they come up in the searches every time but alas, sales are still non.
