I don't understand the concept of "selling" at SPM. :)

Now seriously, according to my notes you would receive 35% of EUR2 for the small size - that's EUR 0.70 - or 45% of EUR3 for the medium size - EUR 1.35. So I really don't understand the numbers you see.

Regards,
Adelaide

I just checked the website and saw that I had 1 sale.  I clicked on details and this came up;
SaleID   SaleTime   ProductID   ProductName   ItemDescription   TotalAmount   PhotographerAmount   SoldUsingCredits
1070506   6/30/2006 2:52 PM   1047804   rain drenched tomato   Small   1.67   0.58   Y
1116089   7/25/2006 3:08 PM   989149   Tall Mast   Medium   3.33   1.50   Y

At least now I know it was from sales

Thank you for the responses. I tried them out on a lark when it was 2:00AM and couldn't sleep. I have not signed up for any type of referral program with them. I may just sit back and watch it grow until it hits payout :D,

I am sooo confused and writing to their support has netted me no response at all.  In May and June I uploaded (and had accepted) 29 images.  Near the end of June I noticed that I had .58 eur in my account.  Thinking that maybe it was a .2 eur bonus for uploading I waited until the first of July and uploaded 2 more images.  I now have a portfoilo of 31 images and no sales, but now my account says I have 2.08 euros.  What in the world is going on?  I've been all over the site and found nothing to explain this, and as I said, support has never responded to me.

General Stock Discussion / Re: Microstock on my Photo-site

Instead of saying "high moral character" which may appear as a put down to some people why not instead say something along the lines of "We do not do photography that is intended for mature audiences only" or "we specialize in creating photos that all generations can appreciate"

They sent me a message that parts of the program had been "reworked" last night.  The messages are still gone but the images are now up.

Hi all.  I know that Fotolia was having some bugs yesterday but this one has me "bugged".  I received two acceptance emails from them yesterday.  When I logged onto the site and went to my photos the images were no longer there. (Or at least visible) The acceptance messages were in my message folder.  I sent an email asking about what happened.  When I logged in this morning not only were my photos no longer there my acceptance messages in the folder were gone as well but the older messages were still there.  Any ideas, should I be patient or is this a first for them?

I have never wanted to upload anything but photos on istock yet my upload page shows that I am approved for image, flash and vectors.

Well although my numbers are small so far it is obvious that by on IS I have the largest number of sales when compared to photos in the portfolio.  This has me thinking that their acceptance policies reflect what is selling rather than only being technically good.   One thing I'm pleased with is that very fewof my rejections, across all of them, are for technical reasons.  Therefore I am learning from past mistakes.

 ???

Hi all.  I have been dipping my water deeper and deeper into the microstock world and thought I had a few things figured out.  Such as:  it took me forever to get just 2 photos accepted on istock.  But BigStock, then fotolia, then StockXpert then DT ans 123RF all accepted me.  It was clear sailing as I recognized my "loser" photos and slowly started to upload my meager portfolio.  Then BigStock started on a rejection kick (or so it seemed to me).  For a while I had no trouble getting things accepted at fotolia, StockXpert and 123RF with a little trouble at DT, still not getting very far with IS.
Now things have changed yet again..BigStock has stopped rejecting me, IS is accepting my work and it's DT that is doing the rejecting.
Is this something that others have noticed??  Dose everyone who uploads to multiple sites find a pattern?  I want to stay with multiple sites until I find a style that is "me" and meshes well with a site  as proven by acceptance and sales.

Hi..i looked around your site and could not find any information on contributor's agreements.  Accoeding to the buyers agreement the site owns full copyrights.  I would be hesitant to upload anything without knowing in advance what is exactly expected and offered.

I started out in micros last fall with a total of ten images.  Most went on BigStock, some to totallyphotos and a grand total of 2 were accepted to istock.  Well about six weeks ago I got around to checking my stats and saw that i had sold 2 sales each on BigStock and IS.  While I watched a third sale (of the same photo) happedned on IS.  Since then i have added other micro sites and am slowly building my portfolio.  Two weeks ago another BigStock sale, last week andother IS sale..this time for $1.00 and today my first sale at dreamstime. I know it's slow..I just wish I had more time to really build up my portfolio. I have been learning a lot though and have had very few rejections for technical problems.
