Ftp has stopped working for me - it happened a couple of days ago - my ftp says it's not getting the 'greeting' from their ftp.
Per Canva, the problem is not their end but all other ftp working here.
If people can confirm that it IS just me with this problem then I'd be grateful.

No Wendy, there's no content notifications on Canva. In future we may add them as optional communication preferences, but it's not very high on the priority list.

I especially love the request for ALL your aerial island images in high resolution for free, from a leading travel magazine. Boy, does that take a set of...well, you know.
Well said Shelma. I do some work for free or discounted for charities I support and that is it! Charities do have budgets for the printed and web site materials. The trouble is Google and Facebook etc have given the general population the idea that all photos and illustrations should be for free.

one problem has been solved -- i'll be hosting the forums once I work with leo to get everything transferred. so we'll have all the tutorials and faqs that many have contributed to over the last year.
Oh, and I know you don't hear it very often, thanks for your contribution to SymbioStock.

Well said! Leo's work made me move forward with a web site that has been a cost factor to me for years buut now I can make sales from there if a client so wishes. I am forever grateful. I dont think symbio is dead .... I just think it is moving into its next evolutionary process. Thank you so much Leo for your work and Steve for taking up the baton!

I had a piece chosen to be shown at the opening but have no idea what it was ...
Communication sure ain't these guys' strength.
Hopefully it's because they are trying to get the site fully functional and it isn't the beginning of a bad habit.

Maybe if you havn't gotten the email you were somehow lost in the shuffle? If it were me I'd close my account and then open a new one...and upload photos of beaches and foxes. They seem to love beaches and foxes, based on what folks have said about the work chosen to be shown at their gallery opening.

I just love the composition rejection ....I dont do big uploads any more because that seems to trigger a 100% rejection.

I joined, uploading seems ok ... sizes I have not looked into. IPTC reading would have been nice. Search for keywords gives odd results. Having an option to find specific artists would be great as well. Lack of watermark is a bit of a worry. I will be interested to see how it goes. https://www.crated.com/hereswendy (coming soon lol)
