I have couple of pics of NYC, timelapses... since my start - one years ago, i sold 0. You have to be VERY creative...

AND, the drone is a very bad idea, I sold mine because the laws are very restrictive, it is impossible to legally fly near a city unless you have a prof. filming license, more, they are prohibited in a multitude of countries (Peru, India, etc.). The fines are far too high for the risk you take ... imagine, you fly your drones and it crash on inhabitants - you risk jail! In Canada, you could face a (up to) $25,000 fine or prison time. Perhaps as severe and more so in the USA.

We see a lot of videos of drones over cities on stocks, I hope for them that they do it legally with all the necessary permits... In Canada, the drone police are quite active.

""PxBee isn't pitching itself as a potential 'Terminator' bringing death to traditional stock-photo services like Getty Images or Shutterstock," laughs Tony Duan of Fotor. "PxBee prefers a more authentic and naturalistic look over staged photos. Our images are entirely unique and the traditional stock photo market has no access to the imagesthat PxBee distributes, we offer a service that is entirely complementary to that of our competitors," Tony said."

They have all my SS pictures... strange

They are not showing my SS pictures.  Did you opt in at the Big Stock partner sales program?

Nope, but i have the same pics on ALMY, SS, AS, IS, DT, 123RF, canva.
Are you exclusive with SS?

Also, most of my high earning RF sales are through alamy so I get 50%. My advice would be: put everything you have on microstock sites also on alamy.

I have done this since I started, so I will continue with the same method. All my photos are RF on Alamy, 4 sales, my comission $ 89 ... not bad!

thanks.

Over the years Alamy was selling at different price points than most of the Micros. So to sell the same pictures you were undercutting your sales prices by attempting to sell on two different price points. The bigger question is to determine what types of photos sell better on which sites. Then send the respecitve shots to the respective sites.

"Then send the respecitve shots to the respective sites"... the difficult part!

I've seen this mentioned a number of times on this forum and on Alamy.

It's wrong.

50% of my sales on Alamy are for royalty free available on SS Adobe et al.

The money I make on Alamy sales is a lot higher than the subscription revenue on micro sites but it doesn't stop them selling on Alamy.

So if you have royalty free images put them for sale on Alamy too.

Good to know!!! thanks.

Omg... my mistake! I had never seen that there was an Alamy forum all the way down the page.
Thank you for your answers, I will read in the good forum.
Sorry, no, I meant in Alamy's own forums.

;D good.

1. You are allowed to sell the same images on Alamy, but you must sell them RF, as you're selling them RF elsewhere. This also applies to similars/sisters.

2. If you  check out several threads on this in the Alamy forum, you'll see the jury is out. You'd think RF should sell for much more than RM with no exclusivity, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Anyway, RF can be sold on Alamy on effectively an non-exclusive RM basis.

Omg... my mistake! I had never seen that there was an Alamy forum all the way down the page.

Hello, I have 2 questions:
1) I started only December 2017 with AlMy, I sold some photos. However, I read that it was better not to put the same pictures that I upload on sites like AS IS SS ... others say it does not matter ... however, my photos are sold more expensive on ALMY. So, I ask the pros, should I take different pictures for Almy?
2) On Almy, is it better to sell in RF or RM? I am a bit confused between the two.

thank you

It is possible if you upload 20,000+ images
20000 garbage photos maybe...no way 20000 good content all earn you 100 dollar month. i already told you...you have a big problem with quality, quantity won't help yu. that's hy you complain in every thread. if you need 75000 files to reach a 500 dollar level you should first stop uploading b...it...and focus on unity of content.

LOOOL, look who's talking about complaining in every thread.

jonbull and derek, Beavis and Butt-head of the microstock.

LoL!

it is the major difference between a worker and a hobbyist ... as I wrote: I am an amateur who does it for pleasure. The day when the pleasure will not be there, I give up. It's not like I have bills to pay with these revenues ...

Who would end up hurting so much and doing this as a hobby?

lol. For the moment, I do not suffer ...

hey guys, i dont know what to think, i started from scratch in june 2017, and it's my best month so far with a 35$ US commission. My port is now around 800 pics (IS SS DT), 500 on alamy (since december), 400  on AS.  I saw a progression in my revenu. Like SS and DT. Is it possible that the photos of new contributors have a better place in their algorithm? I do not know anything about it ... only a thought that I have. I have an average income of about $ 70 / month, income that I did not have before, so for me it's nice. Then when I go out on a mission, it's mainly for the pleasure of taking pictures and improving my techniques. For now, I see only positive ... we will talk about it at the end of my 2nd year!

why are you writing an irrelevant message about the subject? Do not you see the title?

It's not at all irrelevant. However, he's obviously a newbie and doesn't know how much better things were. But things change, and this is the new reality. So long as there is a steady supply of  newbies who are happy with $35 for 800 images,  they don't need to change anything.

As you say, we, the hundreds of thousands of newbies, have not known the era of glory that you have known. And, yes, we are satisfied with $ 35 a month with Istock for the simple reason that 98% of us are just amateurs. $ 35 with IS is still better than $ 0 with photos that sleep in my hard drive. I understand very well the frustration for the pro photographers, it is their bread and butter ... For me and as for several others, it is only a bonus and a hobby. Now, I make about $ 70 a month on stock that I did not do before.

And I think that actually, there is something that happens with algorithms to favor new contributors to motivate them to upload more ...the old ones, demotivated, leave because of the fall of the incomes, the new ones arrive, motivated to make some money. But the fault, do not come back to the newbies, but rather to the companies which have in mind only their net profit.

Don't fool yourself. 35 $ a month ( nowadays I make around 200-250$ for every 800 photos I have in my portfolio) means losing money, almost don't pay the electricity bill for uloading, not to talk about maybe 10 extras miles with the car for doing some phot ofor stock, a piece of quipment, equipment ear and tear, time editing and uploading etc. Actually, you are working for free.

Madman, you ask : "I dont understand why is so much down while I still constantly upload new images, can anyone explain this if understand? "

I said : "Is it possible that the photos of new contributors have a better place in their algorithm? I do not know anything about it ... only a thought that I have."

so...

hey guys, i need some information. I uploded about 300 pics on this site. I'm looking forward to see if it will work.
Have you heard that we can make a request to be on a whitelisted for Wemark's token sale? Are you going to get some? Is it only for pictures buyers?
I think anyone can buy tokens.....no way would I touch them. Seems to me the crypto market is now stagnant at best with the only people profiting are those manipulating the market. Have you been approved pics accepted yet?

Correction... uploaded since april 27...

Thanks! None of my pics was approved so far... i uploaded my pics around, 27 may...
Mine too not a great sign really

I wonder if it's normal: I uploded my photos mid-March, my account is verified, that is to say that my photos are automatically accepted as editorial ... but all my photos are pending for the commercial approval. Is it as long for you?
