The only reason I see people paying flickr 50$ a year for "backup" is a). they don't understand what the word backup really means, b). they truly want all their images to disappear when the company inevitably folds in a couple of years or c). they have a lot of money to burn and don't know what to do with it.

I think Adobe is only $10 ... If you can track down creator they'd probably go for a couple bucks even. Sure beats the quarter that we get from agencies.

You've got to be really desperate to sell a single image to a buyer who's keen on buying your image. I wouldn't go below 20 and even 20 is giving it away cheap.

In my experience, SS standards are the lowest among all the major MS sites I submit to. Anything and everything gets through as long as it's somewhat free of noise and artifacts.

I post 1 percent of my work on Unsplash and Pexels (just for kicks) and I can tell you that they have a higher standard than SS. So I would never complain about SS being too strict about their reviews. In fact, they need to tighten up the screws for the sake of the MS markets.

Well, I would say you're doing rather well. I've made 14 dollars with 56 downloads. Beat that...

But yeah, only a fool would make this their primary source of income in 2019.
