Do you know of any way to check the partner sites? I know I've heard someone in one of these threads talking about their pictures still being on the partner sites, but I don't remember who it was.

Has any one heard anything about all this yet?? I think they are stalling thinking it will all die down and go away. That's what usually happens then they make their move and no one knows the difference.

I still have a few on there waiting to see what their next move is. I deleted all of the "back of the closet" ones, but I'm like you...the ones they rejected were accepted at all the other agencies and are best sellers. They are just "jerks" plan and simple.

Simone I'm glad you ask. If they are using it for the cover they should pay for it. Hopefully you can work something out with them. Dealing with the customer direct is something I don't like doing because some of them think they can get it for nothing or get it for just a penny.
Good luck and let us know what happens..rather good or bad

Fotolia hasn't responded because they're gathering additional information - namely, whether the increase in revenue more than offsets any perceived losses from big-selling contributors pulling out. If it does, they'll have nothing to say other than to reiterate the policy - if you "contact support".
If on the other hand they feel they're losing contributors they can't afford to lose, and/or the price increases are actually pulling revenue down, there might be some backing off from this crazy shell game of credits, percentages and exchange rates.
A bunch of angry posts on a forum, somewhere on the internet, mean nothing. It's just a matter of the bean-counters giving this latest shuffle a thumbs-up or thumbs-down.
Well said...exactly my point also

123RF is my worst earning agency. I'm really considering pulling out of there. After listening to all the chatter about them on here I personally would not include them in the Big 6, but that just my opinion

I'm new to depositphotos so I can't really say any thing about them yet...except I truly believe they are a ground floor company with solid beams... As for CanStock they earn for me a very little bit but Bigstockphoto is the best for me of the three. I've always done pretty good with BigStock

None of my pics were showing up on ThinkStock from StockXpert and I've got the same ones on iStock so I just e-mailed them yesterday requesting they close the account and send me my payout and got a response today saying that they will close the account on the 11th so not to lose out on any royalties and then payput will be sent out after that date.

You have to go through their review process first to be accepted but I don't find it to be very hard submitting there. My link is at the bottom if you want to use it. Any more questions just ask
And you are required to pick at least one catagory

Donding, buying credits to help others out wouldn't work out, you're right. But if I had 60 credits, and you had 40, I could transfer 10 to your account, and we both would be happy. Or, if someone is lightyears away from payout, say they have 10 credits, they could also transfer them to someone with 40 instead of both wasting a total of 50 when they both leave in anger.
The way I was thinking was...I guess the honestly is coming out....if someone transfers their credits to your account they are out the money....If you personally pay them through paypal or whatever what their credits are worth when they transfer them..then to me that would be the right thing to do...but when you get to the different currencies...an amount in one currency is more than one in another curacy then there lies a problem...Does That make sense or do you understand what I'm trying to say??? I don't know that it would be a problem but it seems like it would be to me

Hello,
I got this flickr message that they want to use my picture in a book about a German psychotherapist...it's a (nice) picture of Chinese Rice fields...only thing is I tooik it with my P&S, so it is not THE type of quality.
My top seller on IS was taken with a G9. I'm with the others, they want it, they pay for it - I think you'll be lucky to get the sort of fees mentioned above, but you never know. It may be that when you mention money, they'll run a mile (IME that usually, but not never happens).
I agree she couldn't get the prices I did, but I do feel IMO she should ask at least $80.00 for the use. But I really think the question of what their budget will allow should be ask first. They may not have a budget and not give you an answer, but if they are a publisher they would know what the prices are for usage

I believe it works that way....it was even talked about helping the ones that want to leave that have money in there but not enought to cash out...to buy credits in order to buy enough photos from a contributor to help them reach pauout...but if it's 1.20 to purchase a file and the contributor only gets 1.00 for the same file that really wouldn't work really well either.

From what Simsi said..

I really doubt it is for charity...it sounds to be like it will be for sell. I wouldn't give it to them if they are to profit from it.

You gotta find something unique in your style and subject. Like everyone else said the market is saturated with people shots and the best of the best only causes your pictures to be put on the bottom of the pile.

Ok... Donna, I have looked at your designs and I got a question. Do you just design the backgrounds and the Formats of Text Layout and "Upload Your Photo" are something you choose after upload the Background? Hope I made sense.
Oh.. the Army Card you have... is that Emblem from Card site? Just wondering because Most Gov. stuff is usually very well kept from Public use.
You design the card according to their specifications...the size, tiff format ect ect. Then when you upload them it takes you to an upload page where you put in the description, catagory and the text design that you think looks best from their list of different ones. You choose the text design and you can play with different ones untill you find the one that is best looking one for your card. The customer can change the text layout however they want..that just gives them an idea how it would look on the business card. You have to be aware of where the text would go while designing so you don't design one that doesn't work. Oh and the Army card is one of my better seller's and it is one of their stock text designs. That one of the tree at the top left corner is my best seller. That's what I was talking about before...it was rejected at all the agencies for poor lighting....but heh I make more off it here than if it was on the stock sites

Thanks Sue...I figured it out. I opted in then went back and unchecked the ones I don't want on the Partner site. The ones I opted in on are the ones that never sell and have only sold a limited amount and that was when they were at the top of the barrel and not at the bottom. So maybe I'll get some sales on those forgotten antique photos sitting in their recycling bin or maybe I won't, but I feel 25 cents is better than 0 cents on these none performing photos. I haven't made it up above the 25 cent level at Shutterstock yet...but getting close...so it really isn't that much different.

I assume they do have stock holders and if they are watching what is going on they are selling off their stock pretty fast. They have to respond to this and respond soon or it is going to cost them ALOT of money in the long run.

The more the better. I got close to 500 desins on there and have regular sales there, but I think the more the better just as with any stock site....it's just a good place to put those images that are good but the stock sites don't except because of "noise" or "We already have to many images that cover this topic"

I found that but when you click on "read this first" button it says this
"Partner Program You have the option to make any of your files available at certain Getty Images partner sites. Checking the Partner Program box will activate a column of 'Add to Partners' check boxes beside each of your files on the 'My Uploads' page. You can then decide which files to opt in or out
If you ever change your mind, you can remove any content currently available at other sites through the Partner Program by simply unchecking the box. Files will be removed within 10 days. I think that means even though you opted in to the partner sites you have to still have to pick the files one by one. It doesn't auotmatically check these boxes
