Well, I am selling only on fotolia. And I started in May. So here is my stats.  As you can see, I have a slightly more earnings in August than in June, but in June I had like 600-800 images in my porfolio, and in august I had 1100-1300 images in my porftolio, so procentualy sales droped for me in August. I hope it will be better in Speptember!

I put watermark on every stock image that I made. On my party or "leisure" images I dont. And I put really big watermark, so I had few images stolen and from that day I protect my images. Like this:

Improvements: -small licence 800x600 (higher prices for other licences) -credit aproval without waiting -it is faster generaly, but not much. -loosing over 1.5 millions of old images, which is good for new submiters like me, my sales exploded after V2, I like that. -nothing special - fast reviews of images Bad things: - 4MP minimum size (why not 1600x1200?) - search engine bugs, that are still not fixed. (hope they will be soon) - removing exclusive licences (even though I never sold once, but I was still living in a hope, that I will earn 60 (or more) dollars for 1 sale, lol) - when I click SUBMIT image, I have no option DELETE or EDIT before validation.

Hi! I have just uploaded few images to StockXpert... And have a few questions:
1. How do I know the link of my portfolio? Where do I see it?
2. What is lightbox? It says at the bottom of the page:
This is your first lightbox. You can start adding images to it right away!
Expiry: September 14, 2007
Do I have to put images in lightboxes? Why?
3. Do I have to do anything else, except for upload, keywording, picking categories, and submiting, in order to sell my images? Do I have to do something else?

Thank you all for advices. I will cancel my exclusivity and start in November on ShutterShtock and StockXpert. And put it on 3 months test. If it shows good, I will stay non exclusive, if it does not show increase of profit, I will back to fotolia only.

Don't get me wrong, but I do not like keyword spamers, so they were right when they suspended your acc, that is your punishment, and in the future do not be so rude to spam with keywords.
There is nothing worse, when I type (for example) "computer" in serach, and get strawberies as a result.... that really piss me off.

I am asking because I am already accepted at stockxpert, but dont have any images yet there. Also, I was disapointed when I read that payments on Shutterstock are only 25c? Gee, that is too low. I like most to sell 1 image on fotolia for 3$, rather then sell 6-7 images on shutterstock?!

I have account on stockxpert for a while, but no images there. I have created account on shutterstock today, but I do not get it. I took free registration, and I do not know how to upload mages? They offer me 199$ to pay and I can download 25 images per day, I do not want to download anything, I want to sell. Also I tried registering with Istock a month ago, but didnt have enough patience to repeat ther rigorous requests over and over again. Sometimes my ID picture is not good, sometimes my sample image is not good, ah screw it I said... and stuck on Fotolia. So you think I should cancel exclusivity and go to shutterstock and stockxpert?

I am exclusive to fotolia, so it means I would have to cancel my exclusivity on all of my imgaes, and wait 3 months until I can submit to some other agencies...

Hi! I feel that my preasence on fotolia is not enough. I feel there must be some place where you can advertise your porfolio to buyers directly, not only wait if they will find your images or not. Do you know for those places or methods where you can advertise / offer your images to buyers directtly (trough microstock site of corurse, I want to offer my fotolia portfolio).

I have sold only 1 news image: http://www.fotolia.com/id/3393705To local newspaper, that was a big flame that I recorded in 3 a.m. From my window. That was 6 months ago. Never sold it on fotolia

What method are you using to isolate your objects on the images, to get white (or any other colour) background?
I am using Filters>Extract filter. And sometimes PS plugin MASK PRO 4.1.
You can see examples of my iamges in my porfolio, it looks pretty nice.
At the begining I was using only dodge tool, and those are not quite well. I stoped using that for wanishing white backgrounds (when I am taking photos in my lightbox).
What do you use, and what do you recommend?
