Opted out of all EL options.
DT is losing their game more and more these days.

Alamy never did anything for me. RF vectors don't seem to be very popular there, or is it just me?

Amateurish at best. No legal info, a bad "logo" and an unoriginal name. It looks like a site being run by a 16-year old sitting in the attic of his parents' house.

Actually, I'm glad they're gone. One of the worst performing sites (19th out of 22 agencies). Sales were nearly non-existent. I registered more than 5 years ago and I never made a payout. They also had issues with keywords being removed or changed randomly, if I recall correctly.
So as long as they pay outstanding royalties, I'm fine with it.

Rename all my EPS files to their file ID # and upload everything in return for 1 or 2 sales a year? Thanks, but no thanks.

Although I'm aware that VB could become a potential threat to the market if they change their business model (or the unlimited library starts dominating the marketplace), the 100% commission and regular sales yield a much better return than Pond5 and SS ever will.
VB isn't sacred to me, however. Then again, neither are SS and Pond5. I do believe we should support sites that treat us fairly, because that's the basis of a sustainable market. No one can predict whether VB is a wolf in sheep's clothing, but until that time, I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

All you can probably do is to contact some news outlets that have an interest in this sort of thing and make a stink on social media.
+1 They will have to respond if this becomes a public scandal.

Why the comparison with Videoblocks? I think it's a major sign of weakness to say that: "VB did this, so we're going to do it too, but different."
Why not just focus on delivering a good product, instead of a childish fight with a random competitor. Your competition with VB is irrelevant to the contributor, since most contributors are non-exclusive. I'd rather see both sites flourishing instead of only one major player.

Regular sales at IS? I've forgotten what that is.
FTFY.
FTFY again.

a lot of money? 0.005c per download. are you sick in the head?
Please, read this interview: http://www.freepik.com/blog/kirsty-pargeter-how-to-earn-money-with-your-designs/
You mean: ad disguised as an interview, surely? Why would anyone who sells at SS, Fotolia or iStock also be a contributor for Freepik? It's even worse than shooting yourself in the foot. She must be getting paid for this interview, or she is completely clueless. Also, the copycatting and plagiarism is a major issue on this site and therefore it should be taken down immediately. Freepik is a disgrace to the industry. They even dare to threaten us with lawyers, while it's us that should be suing them.

Checking the USD/EUR graph on February 3rd and February 4th, you'll notice there was a huge dive with USD/EUR. With Paypal this resulted in an currency exchange rate (including fees) of 0.875 or so. This might be the cause of your exchange rate. Shutterstock has nothing to do with it. Check this chart http://www.xe.com/currencycharts/?from=USD&to=EUR&view=1W

4K clips are only available through Extended licenses at Fotolia right now. I will let you know if that changes.
-Mat
This is something that should be adressed as soon as possible! I've uploaded 4K with the idea that it would be offered as a downsized-to-HD clip at Fotolia. The Extended License should be HD as well, instead of 4K, if the price is "only" 200 credits, aka the same price as a 4K with a standard license! You could then offer a separate option of buying a 4k without extended rights for 200 credits and a 4K with extended rights for, say, 500 credits. Please look into this ASAP, because now you're giving away too much rights basically for free.

What a horrible e-mail.
Are you reading this, CanStock? Please do. Here's some constructive advice:
- Never, ever start an email for contributors with the words: "exciting announcements". 9 out of 10 times it means "exciting for us, not for contributors". It's like receiving a funeral card in the mail. - Partnering up with a site that gives away free prints of my artwork is in no way a good business model. It devalues our work and pays us next to nothing. "Innovative industry-first...", seriously? Do you really think we'd fall for that corporate speak? I want an opt-out for this. - Why are the higher-priced retail items paying only 10%? That's an insultingly low royalty, one the lowest percentages in the industry! - HD is priced at $50, so 4K is $100? Should be at least $150. In other words, I'm not uploading my 4K versions of my videos. Please consider increasing the prices for 4K.
All in all, another example of how not to talk to contributors.

It's like when you're looking for live music performances on YouTube, only to find out that the thumbnail was just from a photo slideshow instead of footage. I always feel cheated. It shouldn't be called video/footage, because buyers are often expecting actual shot footage instead of standard photo zooms and pans.
It clutters the search results and increases review times. I don't understand why SS allows this stuff.

What is Freepik's business model? What's their main source of income? Looks like a business pretending to be all modern, 'great designs should be shared for free' hipster nonsense.

I deleted all videos I had uploaded there, after finding out that the commission for an HD file is way too low at the first couple of levels (and it's going to take ages to get to level 2)

Despite a decrease in $ earnings of 25%, I'm down only 7% in EUR compared to 2014. The changed USD-EUR exchange rate saved me.
My portfolio did increase, but I took a stab at uploading video instead of vectors this year. So far VB is more successful than SS at selling my videos.

How about a 100% royalty day on any other day than Christmas?
