CanStockPhoto.com / Re: Can Stock RPD down

I find it pretty unpredictable, some months there are big sales on fotosearch, with good income, other months mostly smaller sales, but taken as a whole, it is a good stable site with excellent programming and very contributor friendly.

My RPDL there was $1.46 during 2010, $1.69 last year, was $3.63 last month and is $1.24 so far this month.  It's my #5 site for total earnings.  With easy uploading and fast reviews I can't complain.

Has anyone seen any documentation on HOW funds (sales figures) are transferred into our iS accounts?

I'm seeing piece meal, intermittent updates at appx 28 cents per transaction.  Is that the norm?

Yes, it seems to be for me too.  They seem so start at the beginning of the month and then gradually update the totals over the next few days.  Mine is up to the 13th now, most for 28c subs but had one for $1.93.  Not sure why it is done in arrears or why it takes several days to update for the whole month - maybe they need faster computers.

BME for me, too, thanks to strong OD sales and 3 ELs in 5 days last week - usually I'm lucky to get one EL every six months.  Also a BME on DepositPhotos and fotolia and a BME for DLs (but not $$$) on 1123rf.  Had a $45 EL on iStock and a very nice sale on Alamy to boot.  Maybe I'm just having a lucky month, but I hope it means the economy is turning around and things will be improving for all...

wow that sounds complicated

i just have a spreadsheet where i track submissions and site earnings
I don't have time to track individual photo earnings.

+1

I just use Excel.  I have one worksheet for submitted images with fields for dates of submission, decision and the result for each image, plus keep track of the titles, descriptions and keywords which I then copy into the image file in PS.  Next time I have a similar image I can copy and paste all of that information from a previous one and add any needed modifications.  In a second worksheet I have a sales summary by agency with totals for each month, year, etc.  I have a third worksheet for sales by photo, which I tracked for the first few months, but once I had more than 50 or 100 images it was too much trouble to bother so now I only record submissions and total sales.

I'm glad the OP asked this - I was wondering the same thing after a nice sale this month with no zooms.  It sounds like zooms aren't worth keeping track of.

One for $0.50.

I had one for 10c on iS this week so you've got a ways to go to reach the record.  Don't think I've had one that low on DP before, although I have had a couple for 22c.
