I love getting the "areas that are too feathered or too rough" rejection when my isolation is done 100% in camera. I'm always checking at 300% around the edges. It can happen that edges are bleached out (especially hair) when your background is more than 1.5 stop overexposed. It's not because it's done in cam that it is good per se (I plead guilty).

You can recognize Russian child? So, than Yuri is selling only in Denmark? Ethnic Germans (the well selling blond hair blue eye types) are historically spread out over Poland, Czechia, Ukraine, and the Western part of Russia.

Whoops....that should have been rictor Don't worry, G.Walker B. never got nuclear right. Actually it's Richter, Francis Richter. The German word for judge. When the French try to pronounce the ch, your face is all wet.

Not only can countless variations of these shots - angles, lighting, age, gender, ethnicity, even mood - be generated at the same time, shots can even be produced to order. What Stardate are we talking about, approximatively?

Since
- you are a very new anonymous poster with no portfolio links or other info whatsoever, - your four previous posts were just loud spamming referral links and pimping cushystock without any other useful info, - since Leaf organized a well organized earnings poll a while ago,
I won't answer the poll and ploink you. Bye.

It has been my strategy to concentrate contributing to new sites/low earners [] as they are not so competitive and their collections are not large. In the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king.

They said it was a 8.8 on the rector scale. We had a rector at a preppy Jesuit high school, but his name wasn't father Richter.

so, that's 36 combinations. Which means, there is a probability of 1/36=0.02777 to be accepted only one combination...which is my case. I hope you realize what probability math textbook blunder you made here. It's a nice one.

A bunch for isolations containing "areas that are too feathered or too rough". Not only can I not find any spots I could improve, they're essentially identical (in this regard) to others in the same batch that were approved, and much better than similar shots I did months ago that were accepted. I got the feathered or too rough inspector too this week. Normally they attach the problem section but not here. Similars from the same series were accepted before without any problem. Of course I can all "resubmit" them but that takes too much time for an XS sale once in a while. I wonder who can see the difference between a 1 or 1.5px feather on a 21MP image used as XS in a sidebar. They sell well on SS for double the price (0.38 vs 0.19) and that will do.

I thought I was missing out on a opportunity but maybe it was wise to avoid this one? I got my 111$ last week 4hrs after asking payout. I gave them 1K images in one big chunk last January. Then I stopped uploading and I will forget them for 6 months. If at the end of this period they aren't spitting decent $, I will just hang on but not resume uploading. They have a fair chance since I could have stopped at 500, but I won't hold my breath for sales. Yes you missed a window of opportunity to cash in 110$ (10$ for a 3-month site banner) for a couple of hours of work categorizing and MRF-ing.

If you have a WordPress blog and want to make it more like a cms then this theme might work... Hmm... Wordpress is a CMS (Content Management System) and great for blogs (items organized in a unidimensional time-logged format). To show portfolios, I don't know, since it's not really searchable by image keywords. Coppermine might be a better CMS for that, although their IPTC keywords extraction sucks. I also like a sidebar, since that kind of blogs is really intended to pimp your referral links.

DT is not fond of the word "nobody." Tangie, an admin says... Yes that was in a reply to my post. However, I wonder how many buyers use those extended search options. I still keep using nobody, one/two/three person and isolated as standard keywords that are good for all sites.

How do you know that you've been flagged? Do they e-mail you or is it posted on the site? You will get a comment on the image. The problem is that for flagging, the comment reporting was off by at least a year till recently, so you had no choice to reply in time.

You have perfectly assimilated dual DT language. Yes since I'm not anonymous like you. When a buyer says: "you images are too expensive" - Seban responds : not true, huge majority (90%) of them are level 1. When a contributor says : you pay only 30% for huge majority of my images - Seban responds : not true, focus on higher level images and forget 90% of others. Marketing. Imagine a mall shop that advertises on the outside " up to 60% reductions on selected items". A certain percentage of the passing mallers will go inside and come out with a prime item with no reductions at all, since they wanted it. They would never have gone inside the store without the reduction sign. You might think these (and other) kinds of cheap bazaar tricks don't work with educated consumers, but experience shows that they do work, all the time. Even spam works. So FD-amateur, if I delete 90% of my portfolio (level 1) what would you respond to the unhappy buyer? If you delete all level ones, others won't. It's a giant sea and we are just small fishes. It makes sense though, to delete your level ones that compete with your own level 2+. On IS similars will enhance your revenue, since image prices are independent of nr of downloads. On DT it will drag your total revenue down if one of your similars is level 2+. On SS similars work very well if you upload them spaced apart. You will prolong your exposure of the concept via the new images. Upload in small varied batches, but consistently. Make the batches varied so more buyers find something they like in the new images all the time. Every site needs another strategy.

I think, there was anecdote about Albert Einstein who was on some party unrecognized by a woman he was talking to. She said: "Everything is relative". He answered: Yes, madam, I also got a theory about it". I prefer the other Einstein quote, as an attractive young lady tries to flirt him at a party with " we should really marry; imagine our children, with my beauty and your brains" Where Einstein allegedly said " I'd rather not; imagine our children with your brains and my beauty".

I pretty much agree with your take on Chinese, FD, but, the biggest selling car in China is a Buick. Don't forget Volkswagen. Even though there is very huge import "luxury" tax on foreign cars, there are long waiting lines. The ultimate status dream of a Chinese manager is to drive around in a European car even a Golf that in Europe is a plain People's Car. The American cars lost a lot of karma lately. For genuine luxury items, China is becoming the largest market, just like it happened in Moscow. That is, for things that you can show off, not for commodities. Pictures and movies are commodities.

Canstockphoto is one of the "Big Six" now StockXpert has finally vanished? Canstock made a very good recovery last year with regular ELs. For some months, those totally died for me, but my numbers are too low to draw conclusions. BigStock makes certainly much more, and consistently.

Part of the problem may be that on DT phrases have to be added as separate words. I recently had an image of a Water Machine with a Coin Slot flagged for the keywords Slot Machine. You can reply on the flagging comment with this argument. The reviewer will read it and see the obvious flagging mistake. They should allow compound keywords with unbreakable space, like Veer does.

All things must pass. They have plenty of good content now, and the first mice got the cheese. If your main engine starts running smoothly, you disconnect your starter motor. I predicted they would stop bleeding cash on this operation (200,000$) when they reached 1M images.

I believe we are almost in violent agreement, FD. The DT Forum is censored. All site forums are censored because buyers read them too. Do you want to sell or to have fun debating? There are other places for that, like here. Don't bite the hand that feeds you.
