I want to create banners to link to other photos in lightboxes. Are there any ready made templates or software that can create these easily. Don't want to spend alot of time on it.
Thanks,
john

In case anyone in Canada is wondering how to declare their T5 income from istockphoto so that their expenses are taken into consideration, please see the following CRA page: http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/tpcs/ncm-tx/rtrn/cmpltng/rprtng-ncm/lns101-170/104/rylts-eng.html My tax software adds the income from istockphoto's T5 under line 104 so it gets added to the income from my day job. I caught this just before filing as it wasn't showing up in the income summary in Quicktax but does show up in the final return. We are supposed to declare the income on line 135 as self-employed income if we have expenses to declare. I wasn't able to respond to the thread on istock as the system kept asking me to login so I posted here. Thought it might be helpful to others who do their own taxes. Regards, John

I'm also considering this. DT has jumped into 1st place for me so far this month. I like the fact that my best sellers there sell for more credits. I'll wait a couple of months and see how the site is doing and I may start shooting specific subjects exclusively for DT. I need to put my new 5dII to good use.

Can anyone recommend an insurance company in Canada for camera equipment. I don't think I can use my home insurance since I sell images. I've done a few searches on the net and find mostly US based info.
Thanks,

Absolutely love the camera. I upgraded from a 300d at XMAS. The low light capability is amazing, live view is awesome for macro (if you do alot of micro its a must). The files are huge but editing is manageable on a fast PC. The video quality is amazing but as you know very limited. It is very much useavble for short clips for stock. I wouldn't film an entire wedding/event with it though. I would highly recommend the purchase.

123 hasn't done much for me. Sales are typically about 1/5 of those at BigStock (my next lowest earner). This month, they are at 1/10th of the BigStock sales. Maybe its just the type of photos I upload...

Hi, I'm new to footage. For stockxpert - what is the 1 sec padding (just blank space in the timeline or do I dissolve to black?)
How many different workflows are required for the different agencies. Can I submit the same clip to istock, stockexpert, shutterstock and pond5? I uploaded my first clip to SS but converted to 29.97 frames per sec from the native 30 frames per second - would they have accepted the 30? Would SS and the others accept the 1 sec padding?
Thanks, just trying to make sense of all the different requirements.

I just got my tracking number for delivery tomorrow (I took the day off!). I preordered from Henry's online on November 4th so they are starting to fill the November preorders.

I'm considering cancelling my preorder of the 5dII due to the black spot issue. I might just have to get a 50d for XMAS and wait a few years before upgrading. I would just have to avoid buying any ef-s lenses (I'm currently shooting with a 300d and need the upgrade badly). Anyone else on the fence on this?

My downloads started up again today, including an EL. I'll wait a while for the next upload and see what happens. Thanks for all your comments.

This could be just a coincidence but my sales at fotolia stopped all of a sudden after a large (for my standards) upload. I was getting sales daily before the upload and pretty much nothing since the 23rd of feb. My 7 day ranking was around 1900 before the upload and is now >5200. What happened? I know...ebb and flow - but I've had that bad of a dry spell on fotolia.
This is my first post but I've lurking in the background for a while...
