"Stocksy is going better than we could have ever expected. We wanted to shake things up by showing the industry that quality matters and to finally give photographers a marketplace where their voices could be heard. Id say were achieving all of those things. We have members making full time incomes, with a handful already doing six figures." http://www.microstockdiaries.com/interview-with-stocksy-united-ceo-brianna-wettlaufer.html

Thanks both but that leaves me a bit confused since Pauws ahd some rejected.... Pauws - are you fairly sure it was for the medals?
The agency may have their own rules about medals.

I have inherited some WW1 and WW2 medals, so can do myself a property release (!). But is there any copyright issue? Anybody any idea? I have tried Google....
You can't do a property release. You didn't create them. But you shouldn't need one anyway, as they would be past design copyright terms in most locations.

Where do they mention the no payment part?
Where do they mention the payment part ?
The Subject Topic: Revostock closed the store with No payments to contributors
I think the question was, where do they (Revostock) mention the no payments, not where do they (Suliman Razvan the OP) mention it.

"Returns on our images, is it better to license an image once for 50% of the license fee, lets say the most expensive on Stocksy $500.00, YOU get $250.00 or submit your images to multiple sites and potentially license that image, if popular hundreds of times on multiple sites at $0.50c. In the end getting much more than $250.00."
Ok, well, good luck with that.

I don't really care. I just think that's why everyone is so suspect of motives.

"I assume he didn't compare DT because they aren't very relevant to anything."
I'm not sure why after a year of silence he decided to compare anything to anything. Even on Twitter, there wasn't any action for more than a year, until a tweet about the post. I mean, he's not known as a reviewer of stock photo sites.

Shutterstock rep Vincent responded immediately to "Has Shutterstock Been Hacked" yet they've ignored months of contributors questioning Shutterstock's reviewers.
Yep, I noted that too. Tells us something, doesn't it?
They respond about important things like security concerns?

I started 1,5 year ago to add much editorial photos. I am not talking about news related photos but more life conected. Like street views, products in context, stores and shopes, industrial objects and so on.
I'm not really seeing a lot of what I would consider "editorial" in your DP or Fotolia links (some of the others aren't working). A lot of what I'm seeing is "plop and shoot". Drop a cookie on a table, and take a shot. Here's a cup of juice. Etc. No products in context, really. So I'm not sure what you're thinking "commercial" vs. "editorial"...

please lets tone down the swearing and name calling.
I just went back through the whole thread and couldn't find a single swear word, I'm even more confused now !?!
Proof that he's delusional. He will say that comment proves his point, though the fact is that the cap fits.
"Back in 2005 I put all my production into microstock, at a time when people where literally yelling and screaming about it being complete madness to be part of. That paid of big time. Now people are yelling and screaming online that going exclusive with iStock is not a good idea financially. My idea has always been to be 2-3 years ahead of the popular belief, and I am pretty sure I am right this second time around again" A good time to be exclusive would have been 2005. He's 10 years past the reality.

He breaks more than a year of blog silence to do a "review" on Adobe for no particular reason? I'm guessing the Getty/IS marketing guys poked him to do it.

My only rejections lately were for a few with a missed bit of a brand name (how did they spot that!) and descriptions with extra info not about the image. Nothing for soft, noise, or anything like that. I submit at random times during the week. In case anyone cares.

"refunds and exchanges do bring in customers and are in fact a proper way to do business."
Only problem is most businesses do not let you keep the item you are getting a refund for. And not months or years later.

Proof if any were needed that the SS inspection process is seriously flawed. Whatever the merits of the pictures surely it can't make any sense if pictures that already commercially successful are rejected can it?
It wouldn't really matter if it was successful somewhere else. My 10K seller on IS has sold maybe a handful of times on the others.

Either way, I still make very decent returns over at Istock and Getty Images and all this has proven to me is that I don't want to give up 5/10 of my income from Istock for this travesty in hopes of making it back.
I believe you'd give up a lot more than 5/10ths. If it's working, stick with it.

SS brings in about 1/5 of my income. If I threw a fit and didn't try to work into the system, I'd be missing out.
Even if you had the 10 approved though, that wouldn't tell you anything about whether to drop exclusivity.

I don't think making or breaking on an entrance exam will tell you much.
Want to post the 10?

If you're an exclusive, how did you test the "water's" at SS?

I tried once checking getting insurance through my home policy, and they threatened to cancel my policy for running a business out of my home. So, I went with State Farm to get liability and equipment insurance. Which has more than paid for itself.

So far, I've made 2/3rds this month on Canva what I've made on FT.
