Your journey is just beginning...never in a million years did I think when I started in 2005 that I would still be doing this now. And still enjoying it!
that's a long stock career, did you ever branch out into video? i've uploaded a few dozen and haven't sold a single one so not sure what the secret is there. do older images that sold well still sell after a decade or do they fall off after a while?

... and I'm pretty excited. It took months of effort but I learned a lot about shooting and editing. I also learned its near impossible to make any real money doing this but at least its fun.

It depends on what you are looking for,if you want to make a few dollars without commitment it takes some time and work but it can be done,
if instead you want to try to earn hundreds or thousands of dollars it is extremely difficult and requires many years of sacrifice and hard work.
there are people who earn thousands of dollars?! thats a lot of dimes.

those are some solid looking numbers, i have a bunch of video clips but have yet to sell one despite starting to get some sales in photo. i shoot a lot in 1080 60, wondering if only 4k clips sell. also do you edit your clips significantly? i just do a bit of cutting.

same for me as what other people are seeing. i'm fairly new but got decent traction in june and early july. now my SS sales are pretty much dead and AS is slowing down. actually picking up a bit on istock even though my portfolio there is tiny. take it all with a grain of salt as i'm talking single digit numbers here.

So I looked up my handle on google and found images of mine being used on a chinese website. They were properly credited (as Getty istock images) but had anyone come across this website? Look up an image or 2 of yours, there are many on here. example of someone's image: https://www.huitu.com/photo/vcg/detail/000047577327.html

the truth is they will get much better at fingers very soon. i still think there's a future for stock because many people need images of real places (which is a lot of what i sell)
