I have questions about that too. If non-US residents have relationship with Adobe Canada, why are they still taking tax withholding? Isn't that only for companies from USA?
finally someone notice real problem here. pond5 has nothing to do with this update. Mat, after this update, as we non-us contributors are part of non-us based company, if we (non-us resident) still need to send w8-ben forms and get tax withheld (and we never got our 1042-s forms anyway), your superiors have to know there is huge possibility they are committing something.... bad?

I think I made fair move, increased prices so they are pricier then before when we got 50% but still cheaper from sites that gives us 30%.

I have just increased prices of all my videos accordingly. So it is still cheaper compared to site with 30% royalties but it is pricier then before when we had 50%.
I am not selling my clips on any of those cheap sites, only ss, as, vb i pond5.

if it stays as it is now, we will see same image (all time best seller dont change every day, for longer contributors maybe ever) with only total earnings every day. I would like to know thoughts of person who is giving advice to web developers who are doing things like that... He is not contributors for sure. And if we want to see images downloaded that day we need to log in, go to my statistic, then click activity, and choose time period. seems like they want to hide something from us, not show. Sending daily mails can be good change to me, but we need to see total earnings AND each download for that day.

I see some contributors on shutterstock putting two irrelevant keywords as one such as:
"adult affectionate", "people person", "casual catering" "ache african" and so on...
Is this some new bug using way to enter 100 instead of 50 keywords?
that contributor also have images with about 100 keywords on shutterstock (probably after they break apart)
Yes been that way a long time, don't assume that tricks and spam or people with 1,000 of the same image are actually beating the honest ones, or making more by trying to cheat. They could be hurting their own rank and sales.
IMHO if something needs more than 50 words, most of the words are irrelevant and not necessary, there's no proven benefit to having more bad and unrelated keywords will mean more sales.
I found them when I search for one keyword term and saw those double keyword spamming images on top of most relevant searches.

Yup its spamming and a way of getting more than the maximum 50 keywords.
But personally I know longer give a sh*t what SS allow or do or don't do as a so called agency they lost it years ago.
They don't care and I refuse to care too
Rant over
yes, I do understand but just wanted to share so that other can see if it's still agency they used to be.

complicating keywording is best way to turn your contributors away
I only submit on 123rf and deposit because they are easiest to submit.
...
simple site, fast submit and important statistic is only that matter to contributors Mat. Only those three.
None of the big sites need more contributors. They already have a thousand times too many.
I find it to be a very good thing if it's a bit complicated to submit and there are things you can do to improve your search ranking.
That means I can get an advantage, and I don't have to deal with competitors that don't want to do the work. More sales for me.
A fast and easy submission process is the fastest way to eliminate sales.
excuse me, but you got it wrong. I'm not talking about new contributors, but us who are with fotolia/adobe for more then 7-8 years Making submission process harder is not the way, they have reviewers who have to reject low quality/similar contest and even ban accounts spamming low quality images all the time, not making it harder for contributors who are increasing our earnings even if competition is larger every day. You need to have your contest better, more profitable, better commercial value then you will have to deal with less competitors and not making keywording more complicated.

This story of ordering the keywords on Adobe is a pain If other sites can do it without, why Adobe can't? What is the advantage to order the keywords, compared to the other sites? I don't order my keywords on Shutterstock, but I still sell more that two times more there than on Adobe, so??
agree it is outdated, no other sites needs that (on alamy you just check 10 most important but no order needed) complicating keywording is best way to turn your contributors away I only submit on 123rf and deposit because they are easiest to submit. not to mention how easier it was to select multiple keywords and put it on top on fotolia then on this new adobe site. i really hope they get it ready (it is open and running for quite a while now) simple site, fast submit and important statistic is only that matter to contributors Mat. Only those three.

one of the most important thing to me personally, is being able to select more then one keyword while sorting them by importance. Dragging single keyword (or pushing to the top) button for each keywords is annoying, time consuming, unnecessary.
Shift-click more keywords and drag them or using push to top button in the same time would be great
also that one unnecessary "show remaining keywords" click is so annoying when keyword-ing more images... wow.
people who made that haven't been contributor to any stock site ever.

I changed all my prices back as they were before they started to mess with them and let them know in message that I'm not allowing them to change my prices without my knowledge anymore, as they are "set your own price" site, and if they change their terms of use about that they should let us know before doing anything with our prices.

They have pond5 ireland for european countries and work from there so no withholding. Bigger problem is the one larger Stock agency that withhold taxes but dont send legal forms. More about that very soon.

For more than a month, I did everything I should do.
Depositphotos deducting 30% of the income (I question, they simply ignore me),
Photos sold every day are deducted by 30%, and I can't ask for money because they keep rejecting my tax form. In fact, no stock agent refused my tax form.
depositphotos are dirty, I have to tell everyone about my experience and let everyone know
it isn't just dirty, it's illegal. just contact them
Is it not enough for more than one month of contact?
and what they replied?

because their 85% share of income is not enough.
As if they're keeping the 30% tax in their pocket.
Is it so shameless?
it would be illegal, but if they are sending you 1042s forms they are not keeping it for themselves.

Hi Matt,
Is there some way for us to get 1042-s for last 3 years from Fotolia/Adobe?
that's the real right question. and it's in the US IRS law they have to get us 1042-s forms.
