OK, well I signed up yesterday and now have twenty or so images up -all priced at 10 so I'll see how that goes. For anyone interested I wrote a blog post (link below -the photo one not the travel one!) about my initial experience with the site. There's some detailed comment from Benji at the end concerning the points I raised in my post. Worth mentioning here though is that it is not just Editorial licenses being offered (as some have said in this thread) -various commercial uses are also allowed, which I hadn't realised. Regards, David.

a Sunday with a 67.5$ SOD, I had worst...
Congratulations Luis! I had one for $56 on Sunday as well, which was a nice surprise. I'd never had an SOD that payed more than $5 or so before -so it was good to join the "big sales club" Regards, David.

I'm trying to figure out the license... Picfair's license is for one use only, not quite RF... does this mean I can upload my Alamy "L" images...
I was wondering about the license to and just emailed Benji asking if it was an issue uploading images that are RF on the other sites. What are you guys doing? Just uploading your normal microstock (RF) images? Regards, David.

I sent them e-mail reminding that what they told me to use x in portfolio to delete images does not exist (not Chrome, not IE). They didn't answer anymore. I sent again a request to delete images. They really loosing face.
Just checked in both IE9 and Chrome - the delete facility for individual images is still there. Logged in (obviously) click on My Account then My Portfolio then click on the image you wish to delete. Bottom left of the image are two small icons -a pen icon for editing and an X icon to delete. Hope that helps. Regards, David.

You expect DT sales every day ! A couple a month for me if lucky. In fact, my balance is hanging annoyingly at $99.46 so I won't be able to draw the money off for another month if I get no sales for the rest of September. DT are dire for me and I am adding more images all the time.
Herg, they don't work on a monthly payment system. You can request payment as soon as you hit the magic $100 (and then usually get it within a few days, in my experience). Good luck, I'm sure you'll hit payout very soon! Regards, David.

I tried the web uploader a couple of days ago and it seems to working again (I had one failed upload out of six) but that's a lot better than the near total fails I've been getting since last November. Even had a couple of sub sales recently so might yet see payout one day (I'm still waiting to get my Dash for Cash money!). Regards, David.

Thought this might have got a bit more attention here given the involvement of Lee Torrens (Microstock Diaries/Microstock Expo) who after being a consultant initially has now moved himself and his family to Australia to be part of this start up. I don't know enough about the design business to know if Canva is offering something there is a big demand for (though they obviously think so). Any designers here who could offer an opinion? The initial flat rate (one time use) fee of $1 for use of stock images in designs seems on the low side to say the least and the 35% commission on offer probaly isn't going to get many rushing to upload. That said, the announcement says there are going to be regular Royalty Free and Extended licences going forward which will generate higher earnings. Interestingly, Lee says they already have a million stock images from some "top" contributors. Anyone here already been uploading prior to launch? Might be one to watch. Regards, David.

Not sure what YAY did recently but I had 4 sales today and few were very decent ones (no, not $.25 either lol!). I made enough to buy CD a pint if dark German beer!
Congratulations! I seem to have gone the other way - after a good bunch of sales in April it just stopped dead for me. Nothing at all since (and I usually get something each month). Not even any commission in from their host of partner sites. Anyone else seeing a complete fall off of sales, or just me? Regards, David.

I emailed them again in May asking if there was any progress on fixing this. They replied that, sadly, no and they were hoping a forthcoming site re-launch would resolve the issue. Well here we are in August and still the same problem. I've managed to get maybe 5 or 6 through out of multiple attempts since last November. Frustrating. Regards, David.

I'm sad to see them close as well. Picturenation was the second site I signed up to back in 2007 and has been a part of my photographic life since then. I know a lot of hard work was put into the site, not least by founder Jane-Louise Green who was forever prompt and helpful with personal replies to any queries or problems I had. Should anyone here be interested, I wrote a blog post about the closure a while back http://shootingstock.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/picturenation-to-close.htmlWorth stressing that they are paying out any commission due (no payout level applying) so check your account if you ever uploaded anything there. Regards, David.

i remember Inmagine won't allow RF images which submit to microstock agencies, is it still the same?
sure otherwise they could just mirror their 123rf-content.
123rf content (both commercial and editorial) is mirrored at Inmagine under the ValueImages tab. Regards, David.

^^^^^ Still broken for me. Just tried uploading five images - all got the "not processed/unknown error" message. Another waste of time and broadband data. Regards, David.

Interesting to see Chris's petro/chemical industry portfolio as current featured photographer. Not sure that he is here at the moment (under any of his names) but congratulations anyway! Regards, David.

The one that gets me is the lack of a Politics category. O.K. if you have pix of Barack Obama then the Celebrity catgegory is a valid substitute, but I do cringe a bit putting the Conservative party Member of Parliament for Altrincham and Sale as a "Celebrity" That said, do any buyers ever use them anyway? Regards, David.

Another vote for the lambs from me as well! Did you check out Audran Goslings portfolio there? Some great arty stuff. Regards, David. Oh yes, thanks for the heads up Microbius -can't believe people are sending out begging emails!

It would be nice if they dropped in here and commented - but the old great communications days seem to be long gone. How about putting that right Brian? Regards, David.

Hi all! I know there was another similar thread, but it was a bit old so am starting it a fresh... I cannot upload my 10 test images via browser. Have tried for a couple of weeks now, and almost everytime it uploads BUT then it says the file could not be processed - unknown error. Have tried to write to them but no reply. Anyone knows what to do? Anne
That's what I've been getting since last NOVEMBER. It's now nearly the end of March. I test it each week and two or three images did get through. I emailed them before Christmas and got a reply from Ryan saying they were aware of the issue and were working on it. How it can be taking so long I have no idea. What sort of agency doesn't want their uploader working? What's more all my failed upload tests are costing me broadband data. Thanks for starting a fresh thread about this. Kind regards, David.

Given all aircraft have logos of some sort, even on parts such as the wheels, tyres, prop, etc or are recognisable by their design (e.g. Boeing windscreen, 747, Airbus and the like) then obviously aircraft images are no good at all for stock photography. That's good to know.
Aviation images are fine as editorial on those agencies which accept it (which is most of the top names on the right). Just be sure to study the individual caption requirements for editorial and follow it exactly- where required. Regards, David. ETA To be more specific: Shutterstock/Bigstock/123/Istock require an exact editorial caption format and the others (currently) do not.

It's very weird but for some reason I can't put my links to Shutterstock or Depositphotos. It won't take and keep my username but does for all the others. What am I doing wrong.
Just checking - both those require your user ID number not username. Made that mistake myself with SS link some time ago! Regards, David.

Honestly you may all have valid points, but for me it's trying to edit a spot on a photo and after erasing and cloning and doing everything I can, I discover it's a spot on the monitor.
That's my most annoying thing about Microstock. Worrying about every dot at 100%, I don't care what agency. And then finding out it's even worse, because it's not even on the actual image!
Lol! Gave you a heart for that one having been in the same situation way too many times. Regards, David.

Has anybody found out where to see your detailed sales report? Under Transactions, I can see all time total earnings and my current balance - but no sales report. There also doesn't seem to be a way to add new images to a particular album. Just tried uploading and editing one image but no album option there. Regards, David.
maybe you haven't had any sales this month (by default it shows February 2013), you need to check January 2013
http://www.mostphotos.com/transactions?tp=2013-1
Thanks Luis! I needed to go back rather further than January but I see what you mean. Not as good as before though because you used to get a complete list of all your previous sales in one place. Regards, David.
