LOVE your work! Too good for micro.
Arcangel is another one. You are committed to a 3 year contract.

Probably because the big sites (SS and Adobe) punish contributors with excellent work who reach a high level of success by giving their work less exposure, and Stocksy rejects those same people. So folks who are very talented may feel they're not really welcome anywhere.
I feel I'm in this middle group with no place to go... I'm hoping there will be some hope in the future for us. SS is just going down the drain for me.

This is what they emailed me last night:
"Thank you for your enquiry.
The tax forms are currently in the process of being ported to the Tax Centre page to be made available for download. It should be available soon within the next 1-2 weeks, at the soonest possible time.
Hope this clarifies, have a nice day!"

I'm so sorry to hear.

I'm going to wait for it until the bitter end. I don't want any problems with the IRS wondering why the 1099 wasn't reported and raising a red flag.

Last year SS and BIG's 1099's were separate I believe. Thanks for letting me know for this year.
I haven't started my taxes so I didn't compare numbers yet. I'm waiting on 123RF to mess everything up...

Don't listen to her - follow your MISC 1099 and if they don't provide the 1099 then you can easily calculate earnings via PayPal.
If you sell with Creative Market make sure to deduct THEIR earnings from your MISC 1099 too (in the expense section). This is the only agency that does it (along with Etsy).
I've been doing this for 10 years.

Well I'm sure they had a "strict" budget.
Or it was just hacked off google images (it is on the first page when I google "classroom" second row)

Very interesting poll and thank you for creating it.
I have so many sitting on my hard drive now. I don't know where to put them. I was really hoping to get into stocksy.

There are no other good micro's then the ones you have really...

I'm not even surprised. I'm actually embarrassed to say I contribute there now. There is so much garbage flooding the search. It's impossible to earn money from new images when those types of images are being submitted by the thousands.
I'm still shooting though. They can destroy my earnings but not my passion!

When they made the announcement you could no longer delete your own images, that was it for me.

I LOVE how you can price your own photos BUT there are very few photo sales there. It's too bad. I really like POND 5 for video though.

Hi Soma - just to clarify, we would be getting 60% of the 35% commission from the agency, say if a clip sells on Adobe Stock, correct?
Not 60% of the actual price paid by the customer?
That is the same thing I was wondering ...

I do a lot of surreal stuff so I can't just shoot it sadly. I need lots of layers ...

@KuriousKat Sounds just like my story. It was a shock to have my sales plummet very quickly. I tried to upload more but it didn't help. I have given up after 11 years. I went out to an event yesterday and it was the first time I wasn't shooting like crazy for stock. I got an empty feeling for sure. I still like to hang around the forums though. You guys are pretty fun

It just wasn't worth it anymore. I uploaded lots of new work in the beginning of 2017 and nothing new was downloaded. Some of my photos require hours of editing so when they don't see the light of day, it becomes counter-productive.
I'm quality over quantity so micro just wasn't for me. I can't compete with huge factories.
I'm sure eventually my revenue will fall but it was decreasing anyway (now leveling out) with or without new uploads.

I don't have specific stats for you but I stopped uploading to micro near the end of 2017. Maybe that says something. I'm still making around the same per month despite no new content. Congrats to everyone seeing increases!

How do you guys find models? I posted an ad on Craigslist and got a couple responses but they never replied ... I was going to pay $50 for 30 minutes.
