For me too, they also accept everything that's not instantly rejected by their Artificial Stupidity algorithm.

Agree, it is quite easy and visible to ignore the obvious political threads. msg has quite a well organised community.

Also editorial/politics is always creating trends that we shoot for.

Stock has real world use content, it does not live in abstract fairyland with only roses and sunsets and only happy people.

Many of us upload activism content for lgbt rights, environmentalism etcand many do editorial.

I really dont understand people who shrink from politics. You cannot hide from real life. It is just not possible.

I feel that those who ask for it don't like what they read because the evidence challenging deep-rooted beliefs is often hard to swallow.  ;)

General Stock Discussion / Re: Rejections on adobe

The rejection examples provided in this thread were justified, in my opinion.

I don't see a problem with Adobe, overall.

SS, on the other hand, with their initial Artificial Stupidy algorithm is a totaly different story.  >:(

Tell us about the pricing policy of Adobe. Can all citizens of Russia use Adobe programs for free?
Citizens of which other countries can use Adobe programs for free? For example, - North Korea, Iran, Belarus?

It seems that they can't get any new subscriptions.
But if they got one already and it expired, it is renewed for free.

General Stock Discussion / Re: This month's sales

Good month for me.
Second best May behind May 22 and the best month of this year.
Adobe was #1, slightly better than SS.

Look like Your DT+DP=P5

I don't make videos,I have a few including some animations, but I stopped in this branch because in my opinion it takes too much time to create videos that sell, and given the royalties that go around today for videos,I think still content works best for me.

However I don't know how to create more than 10 contents a day for years,I will never be able to do such a thing,if anyone knows this secret please tell me! :D

interesting thanks.

I create much less than this. I can only work 1 or 2 days on the weekends. An item requires 30 minutes (or more) of post-processing minutes for me.
In 2022, I barely uploaded the minimum Adobe required for the free all-apps subscription.
This year, I somehow managed to upload about 100 assets (video+photos)
My total port is under 2k assets (photos + videos).

You said you like sharpening with Topaz AI.
I must say that I am also impressed with the SuperSharp AI "extra" from Luminar AI.

It is inventing blurry details with surprising precision, without destroying the image with those ugly contour artifacts specific to the old-school sharpening methods from LR or PS.

I normally check for sharpness at 100% but Adobe seems to find other things wrong, they even reject for color balance which can be subjective. Shutterstock now seems to accept nearly everything including my river landscape shown here so they've changed their reviewing process recently.
Adobe also rejected the two below taken on the same day.

On one hand, I can see very soft, smushy trees, and on the other hand, sparkling oversharpening HDR like artifacts.
Attached is a 100% zoomed piece of the left side of the 1st photo, but the same is also valid for the 2nd.

[Super sharp 3x2 stack stitched together,  wind in top left treetop. Rejected for "Quality"]

Check the tiles in the foreground.
The stitching failed. You can clearly see the misalignment even on that low res photo.

Sorry, but that rejection is justified.

Ha!
It was not instantly rejected as it was for the previous 6-7 times I tried.

6 hours after, it is still in the pending queue. This may work, looool!
 ;D

Update: it worked! The photo is now approved.

It took more than usual to go through the process (5-6 days), but a human decided that the automated algorithm was wrong :)

Thanks @BalkanskiMacak!  ;)

In the past few months, I got as well a few "automated" rejections, it always happen this way when I upload a batch:
-a few pictures are getting instantly rejected, usually for noise/exposure
-the other pictures will follow the usual process

Regarding the pictures that are instantly rejected, there's no way they will be accepted, whatever I do to correct them.

I found, however, a workaround: adding an old case number to the rejected pictures. In this situation, the picture gets reviewed and approved within days.

There's definitely an AI issue here. I guess raising the problem to their support might work in a few cases (I got a few approved this way as well).

So you found a way to circumvent the Artificial Stupidity!
Nice!
Too bad I don't have any old case numbers...

Edit: I found an email from 2015 with an old case number and used it to re-upload the photo mentioned above. Let's see if this works  ;D

I noticed that some photos are instantly rejected (a minute or so after the upload). Moreover all subsequent attempts are also rejected instantly, no matter how many times I retried (even several weeks apart).

When it doesn't happen, the photos are staying in the queue for a day or two and then are approved 100% of the time.

The instant rejection is only for noise/pixelation... Obviously there is an algorithm doing this pre-check before humans go through the same stuff and just click the accept button.

My conclusion is that the algorithm is confusing some dense urban skylines and buildings with regular patterns of windows/details (like in Miami, see the 100% zoom below) with pixelation/noise, thus instantly rejecting perfectly fine photos.

Adobe Stock / Re: A.I. Legal cases

it would be absurd getting some ridiculous compensation
At the moment, I am satisfied that AI pays good money for his training. I think that if AI has prospects and people will buy its product, the compensation could also be very good money. As a result, one could no longer even work, AI would work on the authors.  8) :)

My catalog is also there.  I would like it removed.  I do not use Wirestock.

Same here. I don't need blood-money  >:(

Looks like the big fish has begun eating itself.

Take all its users content and use it to train an A.I. to make content that any buyer might want or need and getting progressively better with each iteration.

Contributers no longer required.

No new content.

A.I. not able to evolve without new and relevant content so produces homogenised results. The exact opposite of new, creative and relevant content.

Buyers drift away.

But even worse Buyers are out of business too because who needs them to find content for you when an A.I. can do that job too. And buy for who ... when an A.I. can do that job as well. And to sell to who because A.I. can create bots to pretend to be customers who don't buy ...

If that's the cause plus all the legal cases ongoing and coming then the writing is on the wall.

Here is the frequency of my P5 sales for this year, on a daily basis (small port of about 380 clips and 1100 photos; excluding datasets)

198
This is the icon shown in Microstockr for those earnings. I believe that it's generated by SS and made available through their API.

It also bothers me that I opted out back in February, and I still see my images being used to train my competitors, without my consent.

Average April for me:

200

The question is, did anyone else was able to redeem it's 2023 code? If not it seems it was a hasty decision to give them away anyway but weren't prepared for it. Otherwise you are just having bad luck I guess.

Yes, I have all apps active for one more year.
