1 of 50 approved.  They are still in the FU mode.

Well, 640x480 no longer accepted at IS so there goes that idea.
#178
I did not know there was Premier Elements. Got to try it out.

Thanks

Do not know, thats why I am asking. Anybody?

What are the most reasonably priced software solutions for submitting videos to IS? What are the experiences of videographers in submitting 640@30FPS video to IS? Completely new to this and hoping for some help from the pros.

Thanks

Got to see the first free public speach of the Dalai Lhama in ATL on Monday. No SLR allowed without press pass. Bought the G9 the same day from KEH, used my charged Batteries from the XT and recorded not only stills from the 1st row with  the big flash gun attached but also parts of the speach in avi. RAW + Movies in a tiny package, awsome. Will let you know about the picture quality in a couple of days.

Wanted to call this pic "Egg-tease"

- like striptease by an egg

Fortunately my common sense prevailed.

Are you guys getting creative with your picture titles or are they just descriptions?
#185
Yeah! First one on the board (for 0.40).

The good news first: Everybody is still tied for first place.

Now the not so good news:
It is very strange that the combined might of MSG is unable to produce a single DL since the inception of the eggs light box. Perhaps the real message is this:
Competition in mundane subjects that are dominated by the microstock gorillas is becoming increasingly more difficult for the mere mortals that have submitted to this challenge. An egg picture that has 1 million DLs (hypothetically speaking) and is available online since the beginning of time will continue to serve its purpose even though there are newer egg pictures added to the collection every day.

Just some food for thought.

my latest batch also completely rejected. Thats one way to shorten line :'(

First: I am a proponent of giving photo buyers choices. Portrait vs. landscape orientation, close up, detail vs. the whole thing ....
Second: I do not know what the buyer wants or needs ...

Question: How do you get alternative version of the same scene accepted at IS?
Frequently a whole batch of pictures are beeing rejected because their appear to be duplicates of previously submitted pictures to the reviewer, which of course they are not.

How can I specialize in something if often times when I submit creative variations I get rejected..

Sharply: How do you get all these airline shots accepted if they are variations on "airplane in front of sky" theme. Not trying to knock anybody, just curious.

On an unrelated note:
Anybody having a slow start for the month too?

Thanks

How many wannabee starlets end up in the Producer's bed in Hollywood, having fallen for exactly that line?   ;)

Yeah and ending up in a XXXX movie. Litterally getting screwed along the way.*

Way less than Alamy but for exclusive content? Hmmm. I can only see one winner in this.

Opt-in/Opt-out will prevent anybody here from jumping ship. This is the feature we all wanted - and hopefully get. Otherwise there is no problem with the introduction of subscription if it increases the customer base for StockXpert.
#193
XTI + Tamron 28-75/2.8 (decent close focus)

Until it is evident that buyers who are looking for a particular subject and have a subscription, buy multiple different pictures of the same general subject from the same photographer subscription does not work for the photographers.
Case in point: today - a Saturday no less - 14 DL all about North Carolina. These sales were made at the same time on SS where most of the time a buyer not only buys one picture of a subject but multiples from my portfolio. No other microstock agency that offers subscriptions has shown the tendency of multiple DL of the same subject at the same time!!!

I would not support subscription at StockXpert . . .

If the pricing structure of any microstock agency for their subscription DLs does not force the buyer into weekend DLs it is not a good deal for photographers. My reduction in DLs over the weekend is smallest  on SS. Buyers buy regularily because of the daily limit.
#195
How do we apply. Simply by writing an e-mail? Is there a minimum portfolio size (#pictures) that is required?
#196
Still no DL for anybody. WE ARE ALL IN FIRST PLACE!!

Two more approved pictures from the same egg.

Wanted to call this picture "egg striptease" but the reviewers lack of humour made me reconsider;)

Thanks Leaf. Where are your egg pictures. You must have had something in mind when you started the lightbox.

Hopefully more will be approved.

Thanks Leaf.

Unfortunately I have not seen a boost in sales of my pictures in other lightboxes.

Time will tell
