Ok, you often irritate me but that made me laugh out loud. If i can post again on istock next month i shall still post on this forum as the thought of annoying two groups of people at the same time stimulates me no end!

Why would they buy your images using credits if they already have a subscription? i think that the longer you sell at a place the more customers get to know your portfolio instead of just the subscription customers that tend to browse the new images so gradually you have more credit sales.

That's exactly what I like about this organization. I have heard so many bad stories about where the money goes when you give money to charity or sponsor a child but this group seems genuine as they have already started paying money back that I lent a couple of months ago. I also plan on doing this as a regular thing. I am often sceptical towards charities, plenty of the large ones are essentially companies whose business is fundraising and managing the return on the investments of the "foundation"
there are also wonderful "volunteer" programs that costs thousands and then you see that the money is going to one place and the program is essentially a 'front', run on a shoestring budget only to get money in for the underlying organisation...
but I still give small amounts to groups / charities, always anoumously so that I dont get continous requests
I only looked at it last month but personally I like kiva, you are loaning not giving, and it is I think it is a totally different mindset for both parties. The people receiving know what they need and this targets those needs specifically, and often allows them to produce or increase their income. I am now allocating $100 month to kiva which my kids each choose someone to lend $25 to.

The thing is about these particular sales is that they aren't subs they are credit sales that earn less than sub sales. At least I now know that other people have had them and that the price isn't a mistake. Maybe I've had them before but just haven't noticed. I tend to check my sales quite regularly to get an idea of what is selling. Yea i've had some of these too. However, 123RF is improving noticeably for me so I can get over their complete lack of support . I asked them about 2 months ago this question about low priced subs. Nobody answered.

Thanks Adelaide at least I feel a bit better knowing that it's only blog size.

They were uploaded as full size but I don't know what size was downloaded. They are shown as 1 credit and also are under a column labelled 'B' but I don't know what that stands for.

Yes thanks for your reply, I also wondered if that was what it was but 25 c is pretty pathetic. I don't remember getting one so low priced before but if this is a new thing and we start to get a lot then I will rethink uploading to 123. I stopped uploading to crestock because of the low sub sale prices which if I remember rightly is also 25c.

I have had some credit sales at 123 rf recently which gave me 25c each. Anybody knows what that's all about as I don't remember ever getting so little? Sub sales pay more than that. I'm not at all happy about such a low commission.

IS used to be a clear winner for earnings each month for me and just over a year ago I was considering going exclusive as soon as I hit diamond. but IS earnings have dropped so much that last month I earnt 3 times more at FT and twice as much at SS. I sold 4000 less images last year than the year before at IS even though the quality of my work has improved. My overall 2008 earnings were 70% more than 2007 and I have had an amazing year everywhere except for IS.
David, you're basing this on the poll results of 140ish people where the people chooses between 0 and 10 on earnings and that has little to no discernible meaning. Not to mention many people don't participate in the polls because they're exclusive to iStock. You end up with a poll that is negatively skewed against iStock that doesn't really measure anything to begin with. When I was nonexclusive iStock was still my best performer because I had close to the same number of images on each site. That's the main problem with the poll, the only objective way to measure one site against the others when using many people's opinions is revenue per image per month.

Exactly what I was thinking. Mine are making their payments on time so far. It's exactly why I really like this organization as it is helping people to help themselves and at the same time keep their pride and dignity and ultimately probably not going to cost us anything . I wonder how all my loans so far have been paid back if the drunks just ran off with the money and evaporated into the slums. Hmm...

I'm very happy with this year. i averaged 36$ per image over all sites this year and am up 70% on overall earnings compared to last year.

I have already made a couple of loans but went in yesterday to help my mum to do one and it said that all the loans have been funded. If anybody notices when unfunded loans become available will you please post here as I'm more likely to look here than remember to check the Kiva website. Thanks

Except that the sufferers kin are in exactly the same boat and aren't able to help. I wonder why you even bothered coming onto this thread and posting and trying to get the attention onto yourself instead of just ignoring it . Lokk after yourself and your family and let the sufferers kin take care of their own.

StockXpert earnings are about 15% down on last month but still double of December last year. I am opted in to all Subs but they account for less than 20% of my sales this month. I experimented with opting in and opting out and definitely earnt more by being opted in. I suspect that opting in gives you a better placing in the search results as my credit sales drop when I am opted out. I tried opting out twice for a couple of months at a time. Of course it could be pure coincidence but I'll stay opted in as that is what seems to work for me.

Today is much worse than xmas day generally. Only 3 dls on SS, even 123 are beating them with 4 dls. Usually get between 30 and 50 at SS on a Saturday.

I'm going to trickle a few up to SS but nothing to the other sites until the new year.

SS was a clear leader for me at the beginning of the year but Fotolia has now caught up and overtaken by a large %. Fotolia now make me 3x more than IS which were my leaders for my first 3 years uploading. SS makes me double th earnings of IS.

It really annoys me when they reject for that reason. If they don't want the MR attatched then it would be enough to just de-attatch it not reject the image which messes around with our acceptance ratios. ... Dreamstime has rejected a few (every one actually) of my images when I added a model release to it if the image had only an arm or hand in it, I'm confused about that I would think a model release even when not 100% necessary would still be good.
I've had a few of those as well - a rejection for "Model Release not required" doesn't make sense to me either.
As far as sites that allow images that show people but without a MR is concerned, they all accept them even though oftentimes it's at the whim of the reviewer.

I voted fotolia because I make way more money there but for all round fairness to us Dreamstime gets my vote.

It seems that the lowest 3 ranks have been returned to the same as before.
