Yeah, I figured that was coming. A lot of them are brand new to stock, and unlikely to hang out in a forum that is solely dedicated to stock, especially one called "microstockgroup", since Stocksy is more "midstock". Many have other photography work they do and may not have the time to spread to another forum. Some probably don't like forum discussions. So, for whatever reason, there aren't a lot of them here. Might have to do with the occasional hostility and such as well.

I believe Stocksy is not "so hot" because it doesn't meet the minimum number of responders. Most of the contributors there aren't the type to hang out in forums like this.

It's like imageBrief, but non-exclusive on requests. It has a "credits" system that "awards" photographers and you move up "levels" that allow you more "benefits".

From my peak, I'd say about 1/6, from a more normal average, probably about 1/4. As I've said before, a lot of that came from the Agency collection sales, which wouldn't be there now. Add that to all the recent drops I read of though, I'm guessing I'm doing about 1/2 of what I'd currently make if still exclusive. Who knows.

Interestingly enough, I made more on Canva than I did on GL, so nice work to the Canva marketers. Another BME on Stocksy and SS push this to the best month I've had since I was forced to go indy.

I doubt that this is paid syndication. More likely those sites are running this as native advertising - i.e. pub styled to look like content. In which case is this really any different from any other ad use ?

Interesting point, but back then I was talking about News5 writes a story and adds an image, and then News 10 in another city and NewsX somewhere publishes the same story with image. I have to assume that News5 gets something in return for their work, which I see as reselling my work as part of the content they are redistributing.

We are not "another" start up, we are something else and something else is expected. See, again, the problem is you're not really something else. You're basing the "out of the box" and "something else" and "innovation" just on the royalty percentage of 78%, which anyone can offer. However, you're doing it while fumbling through the basics of starting your basic micro agency. You're completely missing the point.
