Well, you can go by the idea that any microstock image with a regular license would be ok to use, and that's basically a dollar.  Or go the more RM route, with a higher price, since you're having to custom write a license and deal with him, and visit Getty or Alamy to price it out.  Maybe a hundred or two?

2177
Why are they even keeping up with the whole notion of "credits"?  It's obviously just a big pain anymore, the way they slide through deals and change pricing and everything.

2178
This comment from IS paints the picture:
"Yep. I bet you're looking forward to getting a (slightly) higher percentage of the 15 credits (3 'new' credits) a Vetta image will cost - instead of the lower percentage of the 45 to 170 credits it costs now."

2179
It means that non-exclusive vectors currently sold for 15 or 12 credits will be all sold for only 5 credits (1 new credit).  So our files will be devaluated. Great, amazing, just what I needed...  :'(

But it sounds like credits are going up in price x5.

"No More Pricing by File Size"

Woah!

2183
Ok, let me put this way:
If tomorrow Jon Oringer sell SS to those Getty idiots get whatever$ (get bored meanwhile) and create another SStocksy will you support him? I won't!
Bruce Livingstone selling IS made more damage to the MS industry then anyone else. What's next selling Stocksy and than again..........

Again, the business is set up as a co-op, which means that Bruce is not able to "sell it".

Whoop Dee Doo.  Passed the $10k mark.  End of leveling up updates.  Carry on. :)

Tell her to come up with her own ideas   Obviously, essentially duplicating your ideas would be against the 'spirit' of the agreement.

You each own your own shots when you press the shutter.  Doesn't matter about the same studio, props or whatever.

Of course, I couldn't care less how someone tries to take advantage of IS, so knock yourself out :)

(i thought more coz' were not perfect images)

Maybe you should raise your standard?

What about this one?  Do any of these do ease in/out where you want it to stop?

They're certainly a testament to good dental hygiene.

I'm guessing he's just some guy who doesn't know better:

I used five of my own images in a facebook ad campaign.  All the sales appeared within a day.

It's funny, but all he did was write an email response back to them.  Then he made a screenshot of it, and that's what he tweeted.  Back and forths are always funnier.

From what I've read here, it doesn't matter the figure - you won't hear back.

"It seems that everybody is in the same put hole, but everybody talk about it in graphs and percents"

That's because people don't want to give income numbers, since it's really NOYB.

ETA: iStock admin agrees with you btw.

Of course.  'cause I'm awesome ;)

IS relevant part:
"You may not ... use the Content in connection with any goods or services intended for resale or distribution where the primary value lies in the Content itself including, without limitation, cards, stationary items, paper products, calendars, apparel items, posters (printed on paper, canvas or any other media) or other items for resale, license or other distribution for profit;"

Icons are not the primary value of an app.

Regular RF license for icon use, no EL needed, afaik.

Removing model releases from an image is a pain.  The whole "checkbox images" and then use a pulldown to select an action, which pops up another window, which I have to hide, is annoying.  It's just little things that bug me about it.  I still do it, because I get some sales, so I'm not a hater, but I want to see them improve.
