As non-exclusives, we're being forced to sell our images through the PP-program. So there are two options: either delete your port, or become exclusive.

Is VectorStock down? I can't access the site.
Try the firefox browser. I thought the same thing once the notice of a new site design was announced.
I AM using Firefox. But I cleared the buffer, and now it works again. Thanks.

How do I know whether I have a EURO account? The Credit balance does not show any currency symbol.

@Noodelhap. I think you acted a bit too soon, although I can't say I blame you. I just saw on SF's forum (I just noticed they have forums today) that Peter wrote "we'll fix it" when someone brought up Vector pricing yesteday. I don't know exactly what that means but maybe they will redo their pricing?
I waited a full month before deleting it. Besides, I might reupload JPG only, but so far, sales have been minimal anyway.

Alright, since Peter will not change the vector prices, I've just deleted my entire port at Stockfresh.
Fotolia has the same illogical price scheme:
Standard XS 1 credit Standard S 3 credits Standard M 5 credits Standard L 7 credits Standard XL 8 credits Standard XXL 10 credits Vector V 6 credits Extended XV 40 credits
A vector on Fotolia costs 6 credits: that's less than an L, XL or XXL jpg. So far, none of my sold files have been a size L or bigger! Possible explanation: the customers who wanted an L or bigger, simply bought the cheaper vector and resized the image themselves. And who can blame them? Even a child can blow up an image in a vector program and export it.
And yes, I will delete my vectors there as well.

I never managed to make graphic leftovers using my web login and password:(
It works for me. Don't use your normal account password. Go to your upload page, click on "View your FTP login information" and you'll see a randomized password for your FTP: Server: ftp.graphicleftovers.com Username: YourUserName Password: [randomized password]

Ever since I started as a vector micostock artist, I've always heard that certain sites reward you in search results when you submit new content. I'm going to put that to the test.
I submit to 20 vector sites, from big ones to small ones, and have had steady growth in my sales over the past year. As for new content, I have been adding about 30-50 new vectors each month.
I have been very lucky and very blessed with my microstock sales. I'm not trying to brag, but just give a little perspective for my experiment. I have between 1000 - 1500 vectors on each of the 20 sites I submit to
Just curious, how do you manage to produce so many vectors each month? Do you do elaborate illustrations, or relatively simple ones? Any tips on improving workflow to churn out as much quality vectors as possible?

Did you install any monitor-specific drivers? Are you experiencing any problems with 3D-accelerated software? StockSubmitter uses WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), it is DirectX-based hardware accelerated interface framework, so basicly if there are any problem with drivers/acceleration/DirectX, it can cause such issues.
Ok, thanks, WPF has to be the cause of the interface issues. So it's video-card related. I have an ATI Radeon 6870, by the way. I also have the latest Dell drivers for my monitor and am not experiencing problems with DirectX (11) or 3d-accelerated software... Edit: Tweaking the settings in the CCC (ATI's Catalyst Control Center) seems to have fixed it. No more black-outs. Probably had something to do with AA-settings not being set to "Use application settings", but I can't really figure out which setting caused it.

When using StockSubmitter, I'm occasionally experiencing a strange issue: the mouse cursor hangs, disappears and then the screen goes black for 2 seconds. Then it turns back on again, showing the DVI connection icon in the top-left corner of the screen. It happens specifically when I use dropdown menus in Custom Categories, Istock Keywords and the Settings menu...
I have a Dell U2410 monitor, which is brand new and works perfectly. It doesn't do this anywhere else, except when using Stocksubmitter.
I'll try using an HDMI-cable to see if the problem persists, but perhaps someone else has the same issue and he or she could shed some light on this peculiar matter?

Note to Niakris: Sales stats for Vectorstock don't update anymore since their latest site make-over.

Did you tell him you're about to delete your vectors because of the cheap price?
No, I said I'd do it because of the lower price compared to the XL JPG's. Think of it as the XXL rasters being overpriced for the lazy as opposed to the vectors being underpriced below them.
That's what Peter says, but in my opinion, a JPG severely limits your possibilities in using the image. That outweighs any "convencience for not having to deal with vector files". Therefore they should be cheaper.

I got the same reply:
"We have two different price lists for rasterized and vector files. One is based on size, the other one is based on complexity, they are consistent all over the site, so therefore it is possible that a huge rasterized file can cost more than the vector file itself. This is completely normal, XXL JPG's are a courtesy for those who don't want to bother or can't work with vectors and they will have to pay more for the convenience.
Best regards, Peter Hamza"
LOL, what. In my opinion vectors are worth more because they are editable and scalable.
So I'm going to delete my vectors. Is there any way to do that without deleting the JPG's?

I just noticed them and sent them an email. I do not expect to see the prices changed, so I'm going to delete my EPS files. What a idiotic way of pricing our work...

Got my first TWO vector sales @ DrawShop, earned me $15 a piece. So it is possible after all!

I was in there for a while and was selling, but then I did the math and realized something wasn't right. The redesign looks fine but please don't upload there!
What exactly wasn't right?

I emailed them today that I considered the prices of some of my files below par, and that the sales don't make up for it. I gave them ID's of several of my images, which in my opinion deserve a 3 credit price instead of 1. A few hours later I got an email saying:
"No problem. We have raised the pricing on your files. The changes will take 12 hours from now to come into effect."
Nice, I didn't expect that. So if you feel your prices are too low, email them!
PS. now, in all fairness, 3 credits is still not a lot of money ($0,75 revenue per download), but it's something!

This site is a navigational nightmare. The revenue overview gives no info on which image was sold.

One month later:
No downloads, no custom jobs, nothing. Quick review times, but unfortunately, no action at all. I have no idea if there's any traffic.
Who has had some sales?

I was just wondering (I'm very new to micro stock), do you find your images at the micro stock sites when searching for the title?
I just tried it and even though my images were approved last week (I believe Thursday) I can't find it when I search for the exact title. I can't even find it when I broaden the search and then browse through 50 and more images. That just happened on fotolia and shutterstock. Bigstock however finds the images immediately and lists them on top.
Yes, i can find them, either on page one, or, if it's a popular subject, somewhere in the middle. And since I have already sold images right after they were approved on fotolia and on shutterstock I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong.
That's mostly because they are listed in some gallery of 'newly approved images', rather than their searchability.

Some honest crits, nothing personal:
- The sky looks flat, I assume this is just a high-res texture on a plane? - The bushes look ugly and fake. And why are they partly illuminated? It looks like there's a light source next to the bush, out of view, yet that light source has no effect on the rest of the objects. - The lighting is very uneven. The sun is shining from the back, yet there's a holy beam of light coming from above. It should illuminate Jesus in full, not just his stomach area.
I think Istock is right in rejecting this.

I have always offered unlimited revisions to clients satisfaction on contract work, so not a biggy as far as I'm concerned. As long as it's clear the client only gets the final piece....
The thing is, I always charge a price for my sketches. I don't want to spend hours on a sketch for free. Even if a client decides (after an extensive sketch phase) to stop working with me, he still has to pay for the work done so far. This is something I always make clear beforehand.
With the Drawshop system, you can spend hours on a sketch, without ever getting a garantuee for payment.
The way I see it, if u are good and u get what the customer really wants from the sketches and you get the project there is no risk of working for hours or for free . If he doesnt buy it, no pb, u can always use your sketches for another project and make money of it. Thats how I do it. Imposing to a customer to pay anything before he actually sees something its a bit wild. As for working for free, im sure that the customers will be sanctioned or something for wasting your time or anybody else, but you know that too, don't you? There is no guarantee in this business-hence for the competition. No offence.
Well, I'll give this site a try. Support is good, email response is quick. I'm gonna give the custom job feature a chance, although I don't expect too much from it.

I'm currently setting up this software and it so far it seems to work very well for most sites I upload to. This will speed up the process enormously. Thanks!
