OK, I did some calculations for my small, growing microstock portfolio (starting submitting pictures 9 months ago): month portfolio size RPI ------------------------------------- Jan 84 0.25 Feb 108 0.37 Mar 131 1.21 Apr 169 0.82 May 212 0.62 Jun 258 0.63 Jul 287 0.68 I added SS in March. My microstock numbers for July: http://www.pixelsaway.com/C911796005/E20080801094202/index.htmlI had 17% earnings growth in July, but also a major shift between main players: IS went down and SS went up and took the lead. IS+SS are providing 78% of my income. I took a week of vacations from microstock in July - paddling, racing and shooting just for fun.

I got accepted by StockXpert in the end of April after 4 failed applications with the same message and no clue "At the moment we are not looking for pictures as the ones you uploaded."
Changing pictures, subjects, etc., didn't work.
Finally, I got tired with typing my bio and info over and over again. So, I just wrote "please visit my website to see my photography and microstock earnings." Maybe, that worked - my 5th application was accepted.

I have failed 3 applications to StockXpert so far: "At the moment we are not looking for pictures as the ones you uploaded". I was submitting quite different subjects (but no sexy business women) and all submitted pictures were already accepted by IS and are selling there. Well, I needed 4 applications to finally get into Shutterstock, so maybe, my pictures are not that good, just IS doesn't know about it and I am doing OK there.  Marek
