Its a pity that DT referals only pay for 6 months
As now we can see who are referred photographers in theory you could keep an eye on your referred photographers who's keywording isn't too hot and help them out so the 2c would be a meagre advance on the 5c-20c you would earn from downloads now their images can be found.
Unfortunately with the 6 month limit and the lengthy wait for keyword reviewing it isn't really worth the effort.
Are there any keymasters out there?

I think size of the eps file is a bad way to price files either do it like DT and StockXpert a flat fee which will net the illustrator $4 or $2.50 respectfully or iStock how complex the file looks. An eps file or equivalent should sell for more as the buyer can scale it up and can use elements from it.
99% of my illustrations are less than 3 meg, just because the file size is realitively small doesn't mean it took ten minutes to make.
I am not going to bother with an unwieldy upload process and slow sales for $1.
Unfortunately even though BigStock has a similar number of images as DT they can't compare in quality or sales so I am not holding my breath for them to increase their prices it may mean people just upload their rejects their.

It seens to be getting worse I type in my title, description and keywords in pixvue upload them but the IPTC reader at the microstock site fails to read the information usually 10% or less (so a couple of problem files per uploaded batch).
Strangely enough if a file has problems on one site it usually has problems on another. SPM have the best IPTC reader and SS among the worse for me, maybe it depends on the volume of file being uploaded
I am having problems at SS with my vector file and preview JPEG one frequently gets lost in transfer, which means I have to upload again and again. Did someone mention once you can upload a zip file with both eps and jpeg file together?
During their upgrade at the beginning of March they suspended uploads officially at 123rf now over Easter they seem to have unofficially suspended uploading again, well I am having major grief with their site.

FT have offices in NY, London, Paris, Germany and probably a few other european countries as well.
Their Beta site actually started up in France when they hit 300,000 images in November 2005 they expanded to different countries with different languages.
I know some of my images will be reviewed first in London and some will get a second opinion in NYC.

One thing I was very surprized about was according to that posting at SS the entire operation is based in Manhattan 25 staff and two offices. Quite a surprize with globalization with most other sites having their workforce spread out around the globe usually in places with lower rents and wage costs. I guess very few subscribers are DLing anything like 750/month to support some of the highest overheads in the business.
Though one question is what are they charging clients for extended licences the going rate is somewhere between $50 and $100 and at SS we only get $20 maybe this is how they support their business model.
How do people extended licence sales compare at SS most of mine are at DT or FT.
I would image the payrise will be between 1-5c hopefully nearer 5c.

I find it easier to upload at the weekend especially eps files with their JPEG during the week it can be very frustrating when the server is overloaded one file usually gets lost.
Of course at SS they review all JPGs or vectors in your queue all once.

At Fotolia if you have 100 Dls in total and the photo is exclusive to them then you can set the prices The more Dls you have the higher your prices and cut of the sale price price listIf you have over 10,000 Dls then you can set the price of your non-exclusive images as well Featurepics give you maximum choice of prices and a nice 70% but don't get the visitors.

StockXpert will certainly be higher up in the ranking of earnings this month, starting to accept my illustrations though I found a few where they were selling the eps file for 1 credit instead of 5 credits.
Is anyone else getting reminders for missing keywords? I used to wait until they had passed through the review process before checking for errors now I get reminders before they are reviewed and rejected, a tad annoying.
If they are "not looking for such images right now" why do they need the keywords.
Also the only site I submit to that rejects for unclosed paths on eps files

Last Autumn I had a 50 day trip around the Canada and USA, and was uploading almost every day. BUT I did have a laptop for editting and keywording but was pleasantly surprized by the amount of free wifi available. One library in NYC even had power sockets as wifing really eats the batteries.

I was away in Oxford last Monday so I missed an image account for the usual suspects. Sorry for neglecting this forum of late I've been trying to catch up on my quota of uploads for the month after a slow start.

Glad I have uploaded just about every shot of London I could think of by now.
Does that mean they will arrest thousands of tourists a year if they don't have an ID card?
A bit hypocritic when there is a CCTV camera on every corner.
Looks there will be a lot landscape photographers out there

I had problems with eps files not being rasterized so no thumbnail to keyword yesterday morning.
Admin were very prompt and supportive though the problem didn't sort itself out on my computer until the evening.
Hopefully they won't be trying to change the site again, at least they didn't decide to start using categories and expect us to do all the work.
As long as the upload process runs smoothly I will continue to support them

uploaded 40 eps files to 123 thru their website but no thumbnails are being generated so impossible to keyword and their FTP isn't working at the moment. Only good news the reviewed my submissions from the beginning of March

Well I had vowed no more signing up to new agencies
Just signed up and waiting for the FTP confirmation.
Glad to see a UK based microstock agency sick of getting screwed over with the exchange rate from US dollars.
Good to see that your learnt from LO with an easy upload process, I have yet to test it.
Other questions prices for images? 1 for web sized 3 what size? 5 what size? minimum payout? (obviously a long way away)
One suggestion tighten up the footprint of each image the info box is over twice the size of the thumbnail which means there is a lot of "wasted space" scrolling to see more images. I am sure the designer wanted to be different but it would takes ages to browse through a large portfolio or wide search.
In my opinion most revelevant info
image size DLs/views photographer
not so relevant file size DPI clipping path
floating larger image, add to lightbox, clipping path could be handled with icons with explanation with mouse over.
Does RSI actually supply images in RAW format?

I had an extended licence (but there are still a lot of old credits about) but I had my first $4 eps illustration sale and a $2, eight mp sale so hopefully things can only get better.
canakris bare in mind some of us have portfolios of over 1,000 images as your portfolio grows so will your sales

why not set up a lightbox at DT to show the images that have been rejected at SS.
noise is a major issue there but also diversity ten photos with a wide variety

I had to laugh today an image that got rejected at a few sites for bad light had an extended licence sale at StockXpert which earnt me $50.
Certainly a sweeter taste than after entire batches being rejected

Looking back I have always been around the 50% acceptance rate here, I think other sites have improved whereas DT stayed the same
Fortunately they are growing to like my illustrations and with new credits an eps file with earn me $4 had my first the other day the only sign there actually is a new price structure in effect.

Certainly more cheerful but not to keen on those drop down menus for accessing photographer tools checking stats etc. Not to mention the fact we still can't upload been a slow few days in terms of things to submit 4 days and counting.
